Did you see this? Is this the most unGodly mess you've ever heard of???

http://www.news24.com/News24/Entertainment/Abroad/0,,2-1225-1243_2116755,00.html

"a 45-year-old man died of internal bleeding after being anally penetrated by an Arabian stallion"

"They showed us the videos not to show us pornography, but to show an animal that wanted to be with them,"

"The men heard in the film are remarkably honest about their motivations. One of them argues "mammal to mammal" love should not be seen as wrong. "

"They all say the horses were willing participants. "

Remove God....and this and ALL other kinds of perversions enter in. When there is no true God guiding the steps of men. There are no boundaries for evil doings.

herododus, It IS sick.
You're right there are other sourses of ethical behavior. It's just that, in the end, the only one that matters is GOD.

Creatrix, I'm sorry. I'm going to step out....allowing a HORSE inside of you!!This is EVIL.

Creatrix, I understand your pointing to religions (as you pointed to the Catholic church) for having evil doers in their numbers.
I don't speak for the religioins of the world.
I speak for God and His ONE church. I speak for Jesus. I bere NO responsibilities for "religions" as a whole. Do you bear the responsibilities for atheists as a whole?

Well, not something I'm going to rush out and see.

I don't know that I would call it "evil," but I certainly think there is an underlying psychological illness involved.

You can love an animal, but I think it's kind of silly to think you can have a "relationship" with an animal because relationships are based on common interests, etc. The "mammal to mammal love" thing is talking about sex, obviously, not shared interests in the works of Ben Johnson or what have you. I say these people need help from the field of psychiatry.

I don't think it has to do with religion - I mean, the pedophile scandals of the Catholic church show that the non-religious have no lock on sexual perversion.

ADDITIONAL: I'm not willing to call someone with a serious psychological illness evil. It is gross, yes. Disgusting. But so is leprosy. These people need serious help, not demonization.

Oh, and I'm not an atheist.

I find the whole of bestiality utterly repulsive and, as an atheist, I can assure you that God and/or religion had nothing whatever to do with my being able to discern right from wrong. How you can even attribute such perversion to Godlessness is beyond me. Are you incapable of thinking for yourself? Do you require an imaginary authority figure to explain moral behavior? Are you incapable of rational thought, without being told what to think? As far as I can tell, Christianity is alive and well in the USA and it did little or nothing to dissuade those perverts from abusing those horses. Could it be that the empty threats of an imaginary bronze age deity have become a totally irrelevant joke in this day and age? Could it be that organized religion has outlived its usefulness because it undermines human civilization by preventing us from creating a reality-based system of ethics and morals? Humanity has learned the hard way that mixing religion and government creates far more evil than good. Your question only illustrates that mixing religion and morality does almost nothing to prevent evil.

Most creepy. Yet, I still don't see any evidence that this makes an apple into an orange.

Religion is not the only source of ethical behavior.
