It may not be bitterness. I don't know what happened btw you two. It's possible she thinks it's time to begin a different chapter by shedding the fact she was involved with a woman who is really too old/mature for her.
Do you remember anyone from your past who makes you think, "Geez, what was I thinking to be involved with that person???" It could be that kind of scenario.
Or, she might think you have different motives than she would for keeping in contact. If she has met someone new, she may consider it disrespectful to her g/f to give her ex the time of day.
I'm sorry she won't answer your calls. If you have been an appropriate friend through your breakup that's bound to hurt a little.
I personally don't understand how a 20 yr old female would be a good fit anyway. I would never date a woman under 28. I have never considered really young females remotely appealing. She's of legal age but has a great deal of personal development to proceed with before she can be an appropriate counterpart for someone else. Being a grown woman, that's something you really ought to understand. Sometimes friendship fizzles out too. I know that must seem fickle since you share a history and don't hate her. Leave her be and others her age too. Try the 26 yr old dept if you are attracted to younger gals.

Did you enjoy your time together? Then it was a good experience. Don't get caught up in her change of attitude. She is still young and is probably experimenting, going to school, feels keeping in touch would only complicate things.
You will find someone new. Don't hang on, don't call anymore. Free yourself so when you meet this fantastic new person you don't chase them away with questions about this relationship. Start FRESH.

Maybe she realized you had nothing in common? You are 20 years older then her. Try dating someone your own age who is ready for a relationship.

She found a younger lover, maybe a man and she is happy now. Why would she still want anything to do with you?
You are twice her age, let her go!

Sounds like she has another person in her life and they are starting to get serious. I know I wouldnt want and ex calling my significant other. I would just let it go and move on.

Don't you know that the young are flighty? She is still learning and is curious and doesn't realize that grass is pretty much the same wherever it grows.
