I was wondering if anyone has had the mirena iud for the full 5 years and then removed and tried/had another child? My 5 years is coming up in Aug. and I will have it removed, it's in a great place to be removed says the doc, so I am not worried about that. I was just wondering about the ability to get preg. again. The doc says I can get preg very soon, after my first period, but that seems kind of crazy. Any info?

I had it for 2 1/2 years and I got pregnant within a month of removing it! So, I would say that if you want another baby, you shouldn't have any trouble! Good luck!

It would not sound in any respect like Mirena is the shown reason to your infertility, if in actuality you're infertile. you do no longer supply any suggestion on what attempting out you have had performed or what your valid diagnosis and diagnosis are, so i'm assuming you haven't any longer had any attempting out and have no diagnosis. With that assumption, i flow to assert you do not have a snowball's possibility in hell of even seeing the interior a courtroom docket in this one, no longer to point win a in shape against them. except and until you have documented information via scientific expert in the sphere of reproductive drugs which you have been effectively "sterilized" via the Mirena IUD, no courtroom will entertain your lawsuit. Your legal expert would be taking your money until you have such information, so I advise you pass the legal expert and take your money and flow to a reproductive endocrinologist asap for a glance for suggestion from. i'm no longer asserting you have no foundation for a lawsuit, i'm purely asserting you do not have one yet. you may or you won't, it is going to all matter on some very thorough attempting out. stable success!

I had mine removed last July after having it in for 4 years. We are still trying to conceive. There is conflicting information on the time it takes to return to fertility. The RN I had my checkup with today said it could take up to six months and that 8 out of 10 women will conceive within the first year of trying after having it removed.
