You must trim them. If you do not want to go to a professional, then section & clip your hair up. Take each section, twist it & clip off the split ends that stick out w/ a small pair of scissors. (e.g. cuticle scissors or baby scissors)

Use a super absorbent hair towel to reduce drying time. ex) Aquis or The Body Shop

After shampooing & conditioning your hair, comb out tangles w/ a wide tooth comb.

4) Use a heat protector before using heated styling tools.

Joico K-Pak shampoo & conditioner are the best for damaged hair. The conditioner can be use daily or as a deep conditioning mask.

Avoid using styling products w/ a lot of alcohol; stick to ones w/ alcohol lower down on the ingredients list.

Run a drop of jojoba oil through the ends of your hair. It will add a bit of sheen & makes a good leave in conditioner. Jojoba oil is non-comedogenic & washes out easily.

Consider getting your hair trimmed regularly at a salon to remove the dry, damaged ends & prevent split ends from spreading upwards on each hair shaft.

My hair stylist suggested that you get a trim every 6-8 weeks. It helps to eliminate split ends and makes your hair look healthier.

the only way is to have a regular haircut (trim) every 6-8 weeks and condition your hair.
