And what color are yours?

I'm just curious how dominant dark eyes really are.

My husband's mom has dark brown eyes and his dad has blue. My husband and both of his siblings all got the blue eyes.
Mine are green with brown in the middle and my 2 year olds eyes are blue (like my husbands) but have brown in the middle (like mine).

Just curious; thanks in advance!

My son's are blue. Both his dad and I have blue eyes.
My mom has brown and my dad has blue. My brother's are also blue.
I am 23 weeks pregnant and I am curious to know what eye color this baby will have. His dad's are brown.

Someone posted the link below in another answer the other day. I thought it was a cool site. It gives you percentages of possible eye color of a child based on the eye color of the parents and grandparents.

Its the dominant genes which decide the color of ones eyes... These dominant genes if paired with recessive genes say in case... blue is dominant genes while green a recessive one its obvious that the one who receives such pair would show blue eyes. However in case both the genes received are recessive say green & brown any one may be chosen by the body & other is carried forward to next generations.

Well, colors of our eyes in the family are mom: black,
Dad: Brown & Daughter: Dark Brown

My mom had green eyes and I have hazel green. My husbands eyes change from ice blue to green to grey. But I would call them blue. His mom and dad and brother all have blue eyes. Both of my children had blue eyes but now they are both green.
It sounds like your 2 year olds eyes are going to change. Most children are born with blue eyes. My daughters eyes changed when she was about 4 and my sons eyes have changed too this year and he turns four in a couple of weeks.

My husband has blue eyes and mine are hazel (green/brown). Both our sons have blue eyes--the older one has very, very light blue eyes and the younger one has dark blue eyes.

My mom and dad both have brown eyes and my husband's parents both have blue eyes.

My daughter has hazel eyes like her dad. I have blue eyes.

2 blue eyed people will only have blue eyed children, since blue eyes is a recessive gene. 2 brown eyed people can have blue eyed children if they both carry the blue eyed gene and they both pass it to their children. If a child gets 1 brown eyed gene and 1 blue eyed gene, then they will have brown eyes since it's dominant.

All my babies had blue eyes at birth, until about 3 years, then they can change.

I have green eyes, my daughter father hazel, my daughter hazel

My second son, and twins by my ex husband, who had blue eyes, my son has blue eyes, my twins green like me.

Eyes are hard to predicate, all my kids have different colored eyes.
