He has gave the U.S.A. all of him self. I too don't like war, but I will never forget the feelings of 9-11. sitting in my living room watching my world change for ever. Knowing my husband was out in the gulf working on an oil rig. my kids at school wanting to run and get them, thinking they would be safer with me at home. I too wish things were differnt, I have people too that have gone to war, we have prayed for them to come home, but this is a choich they have made to WORK for what we all want to keep our freedom. Pres. Bush is not making no one go over there, they joined, No one was ordered to join any of the armed forces. Think about all the years we were not at war and all they did was play at war. Now, we as the free need them to do there jobs, People will protest them doing there jobs. I don't care about REP or DEM, I just want some real answers from real people. May be I am the one not looking at the big story, I see one MAN tring to keep us free, and we need to pray to GOD.

baker------I am "SO" with you--------I pray for our country-----our troops------President Bush---and his family right along with my own each and every night----as a matter of fact---I think we need to ramp it up a bit and pray more than just once/day-------I will do so now--agree with me----there is power in numbers--------the bible predicted a day when men would call good evil and evil good------and spoke of the day when mens hearts would fail them for fear.....I shudder to think what can happen if we select the wrong leaders in these pivotal times.---we need to do a better job of speaking up in support of our leaders when they are making the right decisions instead of turning a blind eye to the popular dissent that is sure to follow in the perilous times.
Remember many of these people who will sneer and taunt you for MENTIONING prayer----are not the enemy------they are being used as pawns-------often times without their full knowledge of what it is exactly they are speaking against------they are confused and do not know-----I will stand with you------I know we will get many thumbs down but thats ok--------President Bush---I love you-----Thanks you for trying to help US.

I'm not even sure where to begin. I will start by saying that 9/11 and the war in Iraq have NOTHING to do with each other. Bush misled our nation about that. The man has no people skills and has hurt our nation and yes our safety and freedom by being very bull headed with other nations. My Father was a diplomat and Bush has undone alot of diplomacy that took decades took acheive. Bush, due to the war in Iraq, has caused more terrorist groups to form. How safe are we from that? These terrorist groups are telling Bush that they do not want Democracy, they do not want our way of life. They have a completely different culture and democracy may not work for them. Why doesn't Bush listen? The only thing Bush has done is possibly jeopardize our freedom. Many countries no longer trust us nor do they respect us because of the way Bush has handled the war and many other factors.

As for our troups, my heart goes out to them. They are fighting and many losing their lives-the ultimate sacrifice. I could never go against what they are doing. I too pray for their safe return.

I admire your spirit and I also pray for our safety.
The war in Iraq is very complicated and no one on yahoo knows all the details. But from what I've read and heard, there is no link between 9-11 and Iraq. The reasons, motives, goals, and intentions of invading Iraq have changed throughout the years, but have always remained shady. Before we invaded there was no al Quada in Iraq. Now it is a breeding ground for terrorist cells and hundreds of thousands of innocent people are dead and we are in the middle of a civil war.

The war in Iraq aside, I think the President has done an awful job. His healthcare policies favor the drug companies over citizens, his environmental policy caters to businesses and does not protect the environment, his education act has been a proven failure, torture and wiretapping are illegal, Enron and a list of other scandels.

I could go on but there's no point other than I don't agree with many of the Bush administrations actions and behavior.

From a veteran of Viet Nam and the Gulf War, first I'd like to address the fact that your grammer is lacking. It is hard to consider your opinion when you appear under educated. This war of Bush's has turned into nothing more than another "Viet Nam". We really don't know who the enemy is at this point.
Now it has also become a multilateral civil war between religious factions. We toppled the dictatorial govenment now its time to let the faction decide who will run their country. It is time for us to leave and take care of the people in our own country. More and more domestic programs are being set aside to fund a war that we will not be able to win.
Now lets talk about what Bush has done to our economy, and our reputation as a "super power" in the world. Our perspective amoung the world is at it's lowest in our history and Bush has done nothing to improve our image.
I don't see "one man trying to keep us free".....I see one man and his family making a fortune on the oil situation on the backs or all Americans. It is time for this to stop and start taking care of all Americans at home for a change.

Bush's popularity isn't plummeting because he "lied to get us into the war in Iraq" or "he doesn't get it that Americans don't support the war" or the 9-11 consipracy hog wash. All of that is utter nonsense and fantasies of the radical left, parotted by their puppets in the media.

The American people understand that we are in a battle against extreme Islam that wants to see every American exterminated along with the Jews, and they appreciate that Bush is steadfast in that fight and not caving to popularity polls the way Clinton did, which directly led to 9-11.

However, he is trying to have it both ways. On the one hand, he is saying we need to trust the commanders on the ground and let them do their job, but on the other hand what else is Bush doing while they are doing that job?

He is completely focused on the war, that supposedly he's letting others manage, while everything domestic comes crumbling down. I'm reminded of when Helen Thomas chastised Clinton for his lack of a domestic agenda at the end of his presidency, "Everything's going down the drain!" Bush is doing the exact same thing: nothing!

He's done nothing to address the oil and natural gas trading that's sending our fuel costs skyrocketing, and those costs are rapidly spreading to higher food costs and other cost of living increases. His answer: Ethanol, so now corn and other grain prices will skyrocket too. But what should we expect? He's an oil man. And so are most of the leading Democrats (their family trust funds are heavily invested).

And now he's caving on immigration too, giving a pass to illegal workers. Hey, I want to be illegal too. Why can't all of us stop paying payroll taxes for 10 years and get a free pass for a one-time fee?

That's why people are fed up.

And congress has an even lower rating than the president, so it's not like the public solely blames Bush. We are fed up with our entire government. They no longer represent the best interests of the people they serve.

Bush is just like his father... a complete waste of time. And, yes we did join to military voluntarily... but we did not ask to do 3, 15 month tours in 5 years back to back. That, my friend, is ridiculous!! We are told that our orders are only for 6 months, then we will be relieved... 6 months come and go. Finally we are sent home to our families only to be told a month down the road that we are going back. Enough is enough already! They have lived their lives like that in Iraq for some time now, we can not go in there and force them to live another way. We are not over there anymore because of 9-11.. we are still over there because BUSH doesnt want to look like a failure when he pulls our troops out! Let them handle their own problems... we have enough over here that we should be dealing with.

I'm sorry, but I disagree with you. I think that President Bush is doing a terrible job in just about every way. 9/11 was a horrible thing that happened to this country, but it has absolutely nothing to do with Iraq. Everyone now agrees that Osama Bin Laden and his organization was behind 9/11. He isn't in Iraq. The war in Iraq was started by Bush and his croneys in order to get access to the oil in Iraq.
As far as President Bush not making the troops go to Iraq, who do you think is making them go there? Over 3400 American troops have been killed so far. That is a tragedy.

You only like him because you are a military wife. Most military wifes love Bush. I voted for him and that was a huge mistake. My sister is in the Air Force(single mom) and she got shipped off to Iraq for 6 months. Guess who took her daughter.... I did. I don't have children and I took on a 12 month old baby till she was 18 months. Don't get me wrong that was the best experience of my life, but Bush is an a$$!!!! What has been accomplished over there? Loss of 1000's of soldiers! He went in there to get Sadam... not for 9-11. It had nothing to do with 9-11. He went in to finish his daddies leftovers!

I too remember 9/11 and GWB's promise to make those responsible pay for their actions. However, he went about fabricating a connection between 9/11 and Saddam for his own revenge. He lied to this nation and used propaganda to garner support for his actions, playing upon peoples fears and branding non-supporters and anti-American. We are not pursuing the terrorists responsible and he has no plans to. Also, I read TIME mag's interviews with him and they revealed the megalomaniac that he really is. So I pray for this country and for GWB. I call upon God to end the reign of this terrorist and seat someone in power that will work at restoring this nation's lost dignity.

First of all stop being so paranoid. The vast, vast majority of people live in peace and also WANT to live in peace. Other countries have managed to live in the shadow of terrorism and got on with their lives. I see no reason why Americans can't. 9/11 was awful but you have got to remember this. America does NOT have a monopoly on terrorist atrocities.

Because most people don't understand the topics. They just believe what the Bush Bashers are saying. Too bad so many Americans are out of touch with reality. The least they could do is show respect to the office of the President. Not a job I would like to have.
