If you catch your child stealing a toy do you let him keep it, no you punish him and return the toy, If you found someone broke into your house because they needed a place to stay would you let them stay, no you would kick their a$$ out, now if they knocked on the door and asked me I would probably do whatever i could to help. We are treating the Illegals better than we would treat our own children, we are rewarding them with exactly what they want, and they broke the law to get it.

Yes Sandy, If I break the law I am an illegal human being, I don't have a problem with people wanting a better life, maybe they should talk to their own governmet about that problem, you see we have many americans in this country who still want a better life, lets take care of them first. and are you really going all the way back to the pilgrims, lets stay current with the issue.
Thanks

You've said it. But what are we going to do about it? Have you written your Legislators lately and told them what kinds of things would be acceptable to you and yours -- hopefully things that did not include amnesty for illegals. Don't write to them and complain. Write to them with your demands! That's what the illegals do. Let's start now. Flood the government with our demands. Let's start with our demand for enforcement of existing laws.

Most of the illegals come from countries where illegal acts (corruption) is the norm. One of our businesses is in a city in central Mexico, there, they sell pirated music albums and movies in public right on the side-walk next to a mall movie theater and public officials parade around with known drug dealers; people with no university education present themselves as medical doctors (practice medicine) with the knowledge and consent of public officials and half the population is involved in some kind of underground business that operates outside the law (they pay no taxes or have any sales permits). What else can you expect from people like that?

illegals? you call human beings illegals? hmmm...okay, to answer your question - yes and no. If there are immigrants who have followed the rules and are waiting in line for their citizenship, and then we allow other immigrants immediate access to citizenship, then I think that is unfair to those who followed the rules. However, I must say that comparing a thief to someone who wants what they think is a better life for themselves is irresponsible and elitist. I think sometimes patriotism can really screw up our since of what it means to be American. Honestly, and don't just flip out, hear me out...didn't Europeans kinda take this place for their own from people who were already here? Manifest Destiny is a complex thing. I will say that I am not aware of any Chicanos trying to push you off of your land for their benefit. I was under the impression they just want a better life like everyone else who came here (that wasn't forced here, I might add). I'm not trying to start a fight, I just want to see what you think about this. You really come across like you're looking down on people that don't live here already. Maybe that's not your intention, so i'm giving you the opportunity to make your case. I do appreciate you saying you'd help someone who knocked on your door, so I know you aren't a lunatic. Comments and responses welcome.

Agree with you 100%. We let them in...now what do we do? They are here, they don't want to leave, and there are 12 million of them. How may I ask do we get them to go home? Answer; you don't...we don't have the resources to handle it.

If we do nothing they continue to be illegal, not paying taxes, not supporting the society...we continue to pay for them. If we make them legal...they have to pay taxes and support the society they live in.

Now the question isn't do we make them legal...its the smart thing to do financially....how do we cut the flow of illegals into the country. Oh, and how do we teach 12 million illegals how to speak english???

We elect officials to protect us, our rights's,and our Country.
We the people didn't elect them to bring in Mexico, I have nothing against people who come here legal don't get me wrong, But they are invading America, Why don't we just bring Iraqian's too while were at it , We are letting the government play with America, Change our liberty's and put our freedom in jeopardy. They should be rounded up and put out and our government should grow a back bone and stand up for THE PEOPLE!

I agree. To offer them citizenship & social security benefits for breaking the law, makes me livid. They claim it's because this is such a great country to live in...well then, learn the language, fly the AMERICAN flag, and don't expect us to teach your children in Spanish. We speak English here. You want the benefits of being an American...earn them. Come here legally. Don't expect handouts.

Well said, and yes we are rewarding illegals for breaking the laws of this nation. Something we LEGAL citizens would never be allowed to get away with.

Talk about your basic double standard....

The current immigration proposal not only rewards the invaders by granting them amnesty, it also rewards the other class of criminals involved in the mess: the people who hire illegals.

They have to pay $5000. They are not being granted citizenship.

The only thing this bill gives them is a work visa called a "Z visa". They still have to go through all the channels any other immigrant goes through.

It doesn't reward them one iota.

I wish you people would start reading about the topics you'd like to discuss.

I answer this question 5x a day, easily, and all it takes is a little wanting on your ends to educate yourself on the topic.

I say build the wall and up the amount of border patrol on duty. Also issue more work visas. Don't care if you come just come legally. Breaking the law makes you a criminal and a criminal is a criminal your reason makes no difference to me. But come here legally and learn English and I say welcome aboard.
