let a co-worker know, without it being offensive, that their hiegene level is not that great? Everytime we go by her office there is a foul smell, and everytime she walks by us we can tell.
What would be the best way to approach the situation?

We have tried giving her gift sets w/ body sprays, perfumes, wash, etc and I even went out and bought everyone candles so she would not feel singled out. It seems to not be working.

probably the best thing for you to do is if you are not the higher up, then ask your boss to say something to her. not having good hygiene reflects on the company and if word of that was to go out into the street, then that could look bad on all of you. and this way, you are not look at like the bad person for saying something to her. just talk to your boss and say something like I want to talk to you about a co worker. I'm concerned about her hygiene and that has effected other peoples work and the way they see her. I don't want her to be offended if she was to hear this, so do you think that you might be able to talk to her about it please.

Maybe on an upcoming holiday you could buy everyone little things of perfume or colgne, and hand them out as gifts. Or buy some candles. That way it doesn't embarass or single this person out. Good Luck!!!

go to someplace and by her a gift set of bath gels and nice soaps and a perfume . and if u have some kind of lockers at ur work stick it in there with a note from her " secert admirer " that way her feelings wont get hurt and maybe she'll use them

If you are close with this woman then you should sit down and talk to her about it. If you are not close to her then she may feel like she is being ganged up on there will be some very hurt feelings. I suggest you learn to live with it and invest in nose plugs, or tell her.

make a gift basket with a bunch of things ...at target they have an area that says the dollar spot and they sell travel size hiegenic stuff .....well put it on her desk put dont tell her who it from ....u'll be telling her ..without "telling" her

Don't take it upon yourself to do this. Go to HR and let them know of the problem and they will take care of it anonymously.
