Okay, so every year I fight with the bikini line bumps that I get from shaving. I try to keep my bikini line in order all year round, but constant bumps!!! Ah, so frustrating. I have TRIED every cream and gel available-including bump patrol, bikini zone, nair, shave gel, etc.

DOES ANYONE HAVE A METHOD THAT ACTUALLY WORKS? Does waxing leave bumps? Please help! I want to walk around this summer without feeling self-conscious about those dang bumps!

Gurl!!! Laser hair removal. I've just recently gotten it done and there's nothing else like it!! It leaves you clean and smooth.

I never get bumps anymore, but alot of that comes with years of my skin getting used to the shaving. Make sure you are taking a hot shower when you are going to do it. Totally wash the area with something exfoliating first thing when you get in the shower,( I use a loofa ), but then don't start shaving till it's the last thing to have to do. Use a very gentle kind of lotion or cream, like anything for sensitive skin or treated with aloe. Rub it on pretty thick, and make sure you "rub it on" like you would be lotion, not just putting it there then shaving it off. You want it soaked in a little bit into the skin. Now, I know this is pry gonna be frustrating, but for the first YEAR your shaving, Do NOT shave UP....Shave down WITH the growth of the hair. You want that sensitive area to get used to the razor and short hair before you get shaving very close with that razor. (Also it helps if you trim any really long hair before you try to shave it.)
After your done...Rinse it all off and keep keep under the hot water for a few min before getting out of the shower. Pat it towel dry or only rub down, like you did with the razor (don't want to irritate it.) Put on some sensitive skin lotion, or something with aloe, but not alot! Just a light coat. Make sure the next 2 days you don't have any sex, or do anything that will make you sweat alot, and wear only cotton underwear, or you will get irritive bumps.
This is just what I had to do to get used to it before. Now I can just jump in the shower and shave up under the water, and then jump out without using anything. That takes some years though.
My friend also found that Nude (I know, strange) tanning, (sun or tanning bed) the day AFTER shaving can help your skin get less bumps for the next time, and help save on ones you already may have. Just don't burn it! lol

Hope it helps...Good luck
Angela

Try waxing, give up the razor!!!! Exfoliate the area GENTLY the day before you have a wax, for a few hours after you may look like a plucked chicken but that soon goes down, and it is not as painful as you would think.

You may want to have laser hair removal it is permanent and you do not have to worry about the bumps. Also try applying alcohol to the area you shave it may burn at little but will help alleviate the bumps

No matter what hair removal method you use, it is important to use a body scrub or clean the area with a wash cloth in between treatments, especially if you have a coarse hair. Exfoliating the area will prevent dead skin cells from building up making it less likely for ingrowns to form.

surely blue or warm purple those will stand out. Yellow does not particularly seem that good on maximum asians as a results of fact of epidermis tone. I say warm purple as a results of fact plainly good on fairly much each and every person!

waxing doesnt really leave them, but why not just do laser hair removal ???--- it is going to end up paying for it's self, since you will spend a ton on creams and waxings anyway...
