Same thing happened to me. I was on the pill for 7 years and the second I stopped....BAM, acne again at age 28.....and it sucks, I know.
I tried proactiv and it does help to clear up your face; however, I was having problems with it drying up my face so I had to use it once a day, every other day to avoid that.
I eventually went to the dermatologist and had him take a look. I got a prescription that works great. Retinol is the name of it.
Good luck!

I recently bought Proactiv and it works great. I have stubborn acne. The first day I used it every pimple I had reduced in swelling, redness, and overall become smaller. After only one week I only have a few pimples. All I pretty much worry about now was all the scars my acne left behind. But everyone's skin is different. I have very oily skin, so even if Proactiv dries up my face, I still have some moisture because of the oils I already have. For both Proactiv and Epiduo sun exposure isn't recommended. You can wear an oil-free SPF moisturizer over your treatment.

Wow. I just answered a question with this right now!
You have to try PROACTIVE!!! It was available to order, but Walmart has been carying it. This skin regiment not only erases acne, but it completely changes your skin and how it behaves forever. My sister had that really bad acne and REALLY oily skin when we were in middle school. She kept up with it and everything. Nothing would help. So our older sister ordered that proactive for her and she has perfectly flawless skin still with an amazing glowing complection. She doesn't even wear foundation. I have never seen such naturally beautiful and flawless skin. You have to try it! Good luck!

It is very effective, but you must continue to use it even when the acne goes away, or it will most likely return. Since your situation is most likely a short-term acne problem, and not one that is permanent, I would recommend it. While most people would rely on Proactive for many years after beginning to use it, you will benefit from its effects without having to rely on it for a long time.

I would recommend All Clear from BeautiControl. Seems to work better for those that don't have results with Proactiv.
