When you feel depressed, do you feel "anger" boiling-up?
Does your medication depress your "depression" or simply seem to depress your "anger"?

Does venting your anger on this site seem to help your depression problem?

sometimes i get depressed, but it's usually over the people missing in my life. i rarely get angry (and never on this site). it takes a lot to make me angry, and there are only a few people capable of doing it.
i guess because there are only a few people whose opinions really matter to me.

i haven't found a med that helps, so i don't take anything.

depression and anger are different sides of the same coin. people just handle things differently.

my friend and i usually vent to each other. i think that it's necessary for mental health. it's not good to keep everything bottled up.

bright blessings to you unclewayne.

For me depression is part of the let down that comes after any highly emotional situation. Extreme anger, fear, happiness, like a pendulum that swings one way then the other before returning to a balanced center.

I take no medication. And on occasion venting here has helped, but there have also been times where I regret what I have said either left to apologize or delete.

Yes, sometimes I have been depressed and I always relate it back to having some resentment or anger buried inside me. I pray about it and let go of it and it lifts my depression. I used to think that some people just suffer from depression and that's that. But it is actually mind controlled and it is very possible to get out of it once decided to do so by getting rid of the underlying problems, such as anger. Of course, this should be done in a healthy way, not by hurting someone else.

Depress and anger are two different things. Both words are not related.

Depression is when you feel lonely, or feel not worth it to live, or be rejected by someone. Depression also have side-effects too, which could create hyperactivity (in rare cases), sadness, even have suidicial thoughts (which could be a very serious side effect). Depression causes you not to do anything.

Anti-depressant medication does only work for one year. After one year is used, its no longer effective because your body get used to it. Take Wellbutrin XL 300 mg, for example, it is a very good strong medicine, but it only lasts one year to help your body be anti-depressant. Once the depression recognized Wellbutrin XL, depression evolves, thus no longer effective.

I think that depression can be a side effect of unresolved anger...However before you experience the state of depression,it would be a better choice to identify the thinking that stimulated the anger and deal with that emotion first.

To be honest, yes, I occasionally do give in to the emotion of depression.

I have clinical depression and I do OK. I do find sometimes that I am less tolerant of stupidity than I use to be and yes venting on here does at least take my mind off the other things in my life .

No, I'm not depressed.

Anger *may* be a symptom of depression; it depends upon the person. Sometimes I feel angry when I'm really depressed.

I try not to use this site to vent my frustrations. The people here didn't cause my problems, so why should I punish them?

p.s. -- "Selnyk," hang in there -- is it possible Someone is trying to tell you something?

I am depressed and angry, yes. Meds take the edge off but sadness never goes away.

I don't like to lose my temper here. I have done it a few times. Two subjects that I feel strongly about, homosexuals and abortion, are often discussed here. I know it is wrong of me, but I can lose my temper.

It is the fundies, Wayne, they infuriate me.
