That's not exactly how the current bill works, but yes, I think it will pass this time. I don't think its the magic answer, though. There will be more problems created by it.

They probably will. The bill as passed so far is far from perfect but makes a good attempt to address the main issues involving the Illegal immigrants. The deportation of any criminals (except those who's crimes consist of entry into this country), the need for those that wish citizenship to prove that they have been working and providing for their family, and others. While I do not agree that rewarding illegal immigrants by providing amnesty for their illegal activities and citizenship is an acceptable practice, it is a practical one. That being said, the govt needs to ensure that the provisions in the new bill are strictly enforced to prevent the need for it to happen again.

Yes, I mean they're already here. But I think they are supposed to pay so much money within 5 years and have to go back to Mexico to get a legal Visa. WE are promising them they can get back into the country. There are lots of conditions that these folks may not be able to do. Don't get me wrong - i think Hispanic people are a very hard working group who deserve a better life BUT at whose expense???

illegals don't pay TAXES, they are paid in cash and they don't have a social security number, for the matter of being illegal and all. If you pick and choose which law to follow, why not just legalize pot? and then legalize gambling, legalized prostitution... why don't we just get rid of laws all together?!

Illegals are not IN THIS COUNTRY to benefit the USA, they are HERE FOR THEMSELVES to make more money. At the same time they enjoy the free education, free health care... without contributing like the rest of us by PAYING TAXES...

They are not exploited, they CHOOSE to come here ILLEGALLY, to make below MIN. WAGE, and they are not protected by the LAW BECAUSE THEY ARE THE ONES BREAKING THE LAW AT THE FIRST PLACE!

Gosh, how is this so hard to understand for some people?!!?!

Legal immigrants are welcome. The illegals should be deported not rewarded with being allowed to stay. I dont think there are many of them who are going to come forward and pay the fee anyway so it gains nothing. We need to enforce the laws we have not add new that they will ignore also.

I certainly hope not, it's about time we stopped coddling criminals.

Send the illegals out, and give preference to immigrants who want to enter legally.

I hope so...I mean, right now, even though there are illegal aliens they still pay taxes and contribute to the society [which btw rejectes them]...i think it's time for them to have a taste of the benefits of the 'promised land'
