I don't believe in abortion and my reason isn't biblical. You have to put yourself in the shoes of that child. You're depriving the baby life. How would you feel if your mom did the same to you? Over 10 million abortions have taken place in the past 30 years...a holocaust that nobody seems to care about. I suggest you watch Nick Cannon's "Can I Live." music video. Nick is a rapper who was almost aborted by his own mother but minutes before the operation, she changed her decision and Nick made it out alive. The womb isn't a safe place anymore for a child. What happened?

It's not that I agree with abortion, I just judge it case by case and found some cases where I honestly don't think it's my place to tell a woman she is wrong. I think it's her decision and I would always encourage someone against it, but I refuse to judge. As for the Bible, there is NO Biblical reasoning on abortion, it does not come up. It simply is a matter of faith. I know true pro-lifers reference "...I knew you in your mother's womb" but that isn't even close to the point Jesus was making.

I am NOT Christian and I don't agree with abortion. I don't have a Biblical reason. I have a rational reason. Murdering an innocent human being is wrong. Those that argue it isn't a human life need to prove what other kind of life it is. So far, they haven't.

I'm pro-life, but mainly for human rights reasons, not religious ones. There are Christians out there who agree with abortion but they're the minority. Examples include the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice.

(And Scott- Jesus never said that, because that's an OT quote. It's Jeremiah 1:5. Just FYI. And what about the more obvious justification, thou shalt not kill?)

Human life is a process...we change and think differently all our life from child to elder person.

From the moment of conception that life:
1) Has its own unique DNA
2) Oxidizes and processes food
3) Has movement
4) Has its own organs in time and always a closed circulatory system
5) Has its own in time brain, brain activity, and heart.

The child in the mother is completely independent except for the need of food and oxygen from the mother. Once born the child still needs food from its mother for survival. It, however, gets its oxygen through its lungs. Nowhere have I ever seen or read that the use of the lungs define life.

Biblically, God weaves us in the womb, and gives us life through His breath while in the womb.

As far as I can understand, human life uniquely begins at conception. Unfortunately, people put their right to choose over the innocent life of a defensless child. Only when the life of the mother is truly in jepordy, would I ever justify taking the life of the innocent child.

Onlyin the case where the life of to-be-mother and the child, are at high stake, and the doctor goes on the 'assumption' that only one life can be saved at thatr time. In such case, I would not hold the 'doctor' responsible for the death of the other (an abortion)?, at that time.

No one is pro-abortion. However, some Christians are pro-choice. Not everything requires biblical justification.
