how do we know each other? are we mates? how long have we been mates?are we close friends or just aquaintances?if we're dating how long have we been dating? are you saying it seriously or in a joking sort of way? did you say it infront of other friends? if we're really close friends or have been dating for a while then i guess id say i love you too, if we dating could you say you loved me somewhere not too brightly lit, i wouldnt want to embarras yuo by showing how bright red id go 1st though

Girl your question is off base. But if you are in a relationship lets say with your man and you say to him I love you and he respond back to you that means you two feels the same way.
Now if you tell him but he don't tell you then you know that you need to find someone that will complete you.
It is hard and sad when people say I love you but you don't get the respond that you are looking for back.
But eventually down the line your dreams will come true.
Know if you have a friend and they say i love you maybe they love you as friends and I guess it makes you feel good that you have a sincere friendship it is ok for you to say I love you back but just as friends

If I was dating you a long time and felt the same way then yes I would. I would never tell somebody "Thanks" if they told me they love me.
