I did not make that statement, nor do I agree with it, but I think the person was trying to argue that all men are born with the innate knowledge that God exists and that such knowledge cannot be suppressed fully. While I agree that all men have such in nature....I do not agree that one cannot suppress or fully convince oneself otherwise (although I would agree that most "atheists" do believe there is a God...yet there are some, who fully believe that there is none).

True atheism is a wrenching process (as has been attested to by many the high atheist). It takes much work and much pain to drive that nature from you.

This is my statement to people who don't believe in God I have thought about that question my entire life . I grew up christian and I am a medical person now I love science and believe in most of science theories. But, science can say we got here by the Big Bang theory and we came from microorganisms . I believe that . But who put the universe here . Who made those stars to collide to make earth. How do you explain that cells where intelligent enough to grow into human being , and then another cell grew into food to feed the human being and also create other cells to make a pet for that human being. Life is designed to great for it to be an accident there is intelligence behind it . I don't think our puny little brains are smart enough wrap around it all. IF people go through life thinking this is it , I feel so sorry for you cause this isn't nothing compare to what's coming. To many mysteries in life to trust just science . Everyone knows there are thing science can not explain and that is a FACT!!!

This answer is probably based in the philosophy that because the idea of God exist that means that God does exist. How else could God be a part of every single culture in the world even the extremely isolated. The idea that God is a preprogrammed instinctive belief is quite common. This would back up the argument that no human can be an atheist.

Here's what I think it means: most atheists demanded evidence, "proof", of the existence of God/heaven. None can be given, so they proudly proclaim His nonexistence. Conversely, the atheist can provide no proof that He does not exist. Therefore, his position is based on the same thing that mine is - belief.

Belief is the acknowledgment (or denial) of something without factual evidence to support it. I cannot provide scientific experimental data to show the existence of God, but neither can the atheist provide any data supporting His nonexistence. Therefore, it's all about who believes what.

In a sense, atheism is a religion because it is based on belief.

I think in the absence of any "proof", the atheist finds himself still bound by the same moral laws as believers. If there were proof on God's nonexistence, then there would be no need to adhere to moral laws, except to preserve one's self and/or others. Personally, if there were no God, I think the world would fall into chaos. I say this because without a God, it means this life we have now is all we've got. When we die, it's over with. It will be like we never were to begin with.

Knowing that this life would be all I've got, I would then do everything I could to preserve it as long as I could, even things previously considered "immoral". The reason is because ultimately there would be no consequences for any of my actions. The only thing that would matter is my self-preservation. Whatever would threaten that would have to be eliminated.

However, we see none of this behavior with atheists. They work, live and die like the rest of us, quite similarly living by the same moral laws as we do.

Hope this helps. God bless.

Many theologians believe that human beings are hard-wired with the sense of some supreme being or creator. They maintain that those who claim to be atheists are denying their own inner knowledge of a higher power.

The logical conclusion of this line of thinking is that all "atheists" are liars.

I believe that I have in inherrent knowledge of a God who created the world and me. I believe that it is possible that my God hard-wires the knowledge of Him into each person, but I don't know that for sure, so I can't say that I believe that all atheists are liars.

At any rate, that's where that comes from. "No human is or can be an actual atheist" is from that line of thinking.

Why not. Not everyone believes in some sort of higher being. Why can't man create man, instead of god creating man? Not everyone has faith in some higher being we have no actual proof of. If you believe and have faith, great, but not everyone believes the same things you do and not everyone has a religious point of view. Some people have a scientific point of view. Note to reader, this answer is coming from someone who has been raised with religion my whole life.

It's based on the definition of being Agnostic, which is that there is no proof for the existence or non-existence of a Supreme Being, or God. Apparently, that person feels that because he doesn't see any evidence either for or against God, that everybody has to see it the same way.

It's an assertion by the mindless theists that everyone, somehow or other, believes in God. It is nothing more than demonstration of a total lack of ability on their part to imagine anyone not thinking the way they do.

Because every human worships something, even he doesn't beleive in the popular idea of God, he has gods never the less. Such gods include false gods (the aspects of the true god that the acients worshiped), ego, drugs, tabacco, etc.
