How can I lose the weight? I am 39 and have 5 kids, ranging from 2 to 20. Before my last son I lost all the baby fat super quick. But after my son the weight just stayed on! Any suggestions (without a 5 hour workout) ? I do not eat fatty food and I do not over do it at meals. I weigh between 150 and 160 and am 5'3". I run a day care out of my home and my private time is limited so any help would be great! Thanks.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Being a mother of 5 and running a day care, I don't imagine you take time for yourself to eat properly. You need to nourish your body the same as all the little growing kids. You should be eating no less than 6 mini meals in a day. You should never ever let yourself feel hunger pains.

For breakfast, try having oatmeal, some strawberries and a glass of OJ. 3 to 4 hours later, have a yogurt and a banana. 2 to 3 hours after that, have a tuna wrap, some sliced brick cheese and some almond slices (or whole almonds, whatever tickles your fancy). A couple hours later, try having a 1/2 a bagel or some toast with peanut butter and a glass of milk. This will keep you going til supper. Always have a snack before bed, something light and along the lines of the ones listed.

It might not sound convenient, but it's easier to pick throughout the day, and better for you than skipping a meal because you don't have time. My cousin ate this way and lost about 60 pounds in the course of a couple months.

Losing weight is a numbers game. You have to take in less than what you're expending. Running after the kids can be grueling and active, but it's not really a work out. Cut down on red meat (if not eliminate it) eat more chicken and fish. Cut down on carbs or switch to whole grain pastas and brown rice. Eat more vegetables and fruits. Drink less dairy unless it's skim milk or light yogurt. Eliminate cheeses.

Well since you have kids and a daycare you're obviously not sitting on your *** all day... (hopefully not i should say). Instead of picking up a toy and moving on... make it seem like a workout ... bend down two or three times to pick it up... then bend side to side or something to extend and stretch your body. Believe or not but that will definatly help you because it will tone your body while doing little work. Play tag with the kids, or kickball. Getting them active will help you too! If you have stairs, walk them while they are watching tv or napping.

Losing weight is a simple equation: if you burn more calories than you eat, the weight will come off. Start off by estimating how many calories you burn each day using the calorie calculator http://straighthealth.com/pages/tools/caloriecalclb.html This will give you an idea of how many calories to eat. Healthy weight loss is 1-2 pounds per week. To lose 1 pound per week you need to create a calorie deficit (burn more than you eat) of 500 calories per day. To lose 2 pounds a week, you have to double the deficit to 1000 calories per day. You can achieve this by eating less, exercising more or a combination of both.
