I have been having a constant pain and swelling of my right ankle and after having an Xray , os trigonum syndrome was diagnosed. I know what it is but can anyone give any suggestions in order to ease the pain(apart from rest and NSAIDS) in order to avoid surgery? Quite frankly, I am getting tired of the pain. It affects my daily life tremendously

the other treatment would have to be with a physical therapist. Ask your doctor to refer you to a physical therapist. They're going to probably do many different type of therapies and strengthening exercises. I've enclosed a link that has exercises for this condition. I hope this helps.
