Your question is a little confusing, but sounds like your dog won't stay in the yard. Many of my relatives who live in rural areas, where they don't have any fences around their yards use invisible fences to keep their dog close. The dog learns after a while where the boundaries are and it is harmless. I've seen it work!!!

There's a key word missing from your question. If you meant to say keep him in the fence- well, I don't really like this idea. But you could either build a taller fence, or put your dog on a cable when you let him outside.

Good luck! He does sound like a great pooch.

We have a dachshund the same way. I have to leash her inside the kennel when I put her out. She is an escape artist. It sounds like your dog is worth the extra trouble you have to take to watch him though. Even a new kennel with digproof floor did not solve our doxie problem. I hope you do better with yours.

Go to www.petstop.com and enter your zip code in the dealer locator and it will give you the contact information for your nearest dealer.
