I think the Stampede's great for all ages, as long as she's not too close to the stage. The only problem is that there's always a lot of alcohol around, but if you're with her, it'll be fine. This yr's performances are gonna be great ;)

Is this a rodeo? Is daughter going to watch or participate?

A rodeo is wonderful family fun. It started way back when, as the cow-hands of various ranches wanted to show off their skills at roping, riding, and other ranch-hand type jobs.

It's now grown into a national sport.

After I buy my tickets, I like to examine the stock. At a well-run rodeo, will often be on display. The bucking/roping stock will be well cared for in clean pens with water and good hay/grain provided. Their eyes should be bright and their coats should be supple with a "healthy" look to them. If the management won't show you the stock, or it looks ill or injured, I will go t the manager and ask for my money back (they may not give it back, but I can ask - either way, it's a small price)

Assuming the stock looks good and healthy, find your seats and enjoy the show. Don't sit too far away from the porta-potties - but not too close, either.

Buy a good hot dog or other local favorite for lunch.

enjoy the show!

If you are talking about Country Stampede in Manhattan, Kansas she will love it. Be prepared for tons of people but a very good time. If you are sending her alone she is too young. If you are going with her have fun.

If you're talking about a rodeo I don't see a problem. When my son was much younger I took him all the time. Nothing to it except cowboys, horses, bulls & clowns.
