It is true, just be sure to choose wisely and not eat too much or u will not lose as much weight or too littlw or you will keel over and die. Eat lots of salads and so. It can be considered a fast and it cleanses your blood and all. Do not do it to lose weight although it will work.

the answer to this question is dependant on your height and weight. i.e. your Body mass index. BMI you can find out how to figure out this value by just typing bmi into any search engine.
If say for example your BMI is 30+ then i can see why eating just fruit and veg would make you loose 30lbs but if your only 30lbs overweight then this 30 lbs is going to be harder shift than someone with a high BMI. Reccommended BMI is between 19-25 by most peoples standards. anything above this is classed as overweight, grosely overweight leading to obese and morbidly obese.

Dieting alone is not reccommended as this is the type of action which causes the patient to gain weight when regular eating habits are resumed. Try eating healthy foods (youre on the right track ) but as little as a half hour walk a day may be more benificial in loosin the weight permanantly and in the same lenght of time (if not faster)

I agree that just fruits and vegetables isn't fully healthy. Throw in some whole grains, and some beans and other vegan sources of protein, such as soy, and you're more on the right track. After I totally cut out meat, I lost about five pounds. The same happened when I totally eliminated dairy, too. I didn't do it specifically for weight loss, but I did do it for my health. The weight loss was just a nice bonus.

However, even with exercise, 30 pounds in three weeks is a bit excessive.

A pound of body weight represents about 3500 calories. If you consume 2500 calories a day and decrease that to 2000 calories a day, you have created a calorie deficit of 500 calories. In about 7 days (3500/500) you should lose about a pound of fat. People who start a diet often dehydrate and lose fluid weight, but that is not actual tissue loss.

You do the math... you can calculate how long it takes to lose how much. To lose weight, it makes a lot more sense to pick a healthy body weight, consume a diet that is appropriate for the weight and get healthy exercise.

Too much work? Oh, well.....

you probably could because all the fiber would give you diarrhea, a diet that cuts out any food group is not a good diet and when you quit you will gain it all back, you body needs proteins and fats(good ones) everyday, they are the building blocks of the cells, also when not in taking proteins your body will pull the protein from you muscles to get what it needs, when you lose muscle your metabolism will slow down making weight loss even harder, the key is to boost metabolism by building more lean muscle, the scale really is not a good indicator on how much you need to lose your bmi is a better gage, 25% or less bmi is healthy.

Theoretically, but it depends on your metabolism, and it might not necessarily be "good" weight loss. Rapid weight loss like this pushes you body into fat conservation mode. The weight you lose will be muscle mass (the stuff that make you look good), while the body will burn less fat than it already does. You might lose the weight but it won't be healthy,it won't look good, and as soon as you go off the diet you'll gain weight in fat rapidly because your body is trying to save up.

Honestly sorry to say, the best diet is a hard one.

It's called portion control and exercise.

30lbs in 3 weeks is awfully fast if you are not morbidly huge.

You could, because you'd almost be dead. A true vegan needs supplements to survive, not just fruits and veggies.
