Many people have a concept of God that is simply the storm, sea, fertility and various other gods rolled into one. If God is controlling the weather in answer to prayer, then he must be very angry with all the retirees in Florida. But why would he risk destroying all the bananas, when supposedly they are an atheist's nightmare? We ought instead to see rain rarely over cities, where people don't depend on it to grow crops and tend to pray for it not to rain for various reasons.

This is interestingly funny. :))
I wonder if there's any parent who would beat their chest and say; yes, I dictate everything my kids do. God created us in his own image but yet gave us the free will to choose between right and wrong. Now, look at it from a very small mind, Somebody made the car you are driving right now, does the maker tell that car when to stop or start?. Let this be food for thought for you.

God still controls it to an extent, but in today's world, two powerful pieces of equipment do. Russia's equipment is named G.W.E.N. and the USA's is named H.A.A.R.P. or High-frequency Active Aural Research Program.
Nikola Tesla, the man whom we have to thank for A.C. being used in the USA and most of the world, said if he had the electrical power to do so he could control the weather. Today there is enough power and they do.

I do not know if God's mood is reflected in the weather, per se. But I will tell you what I believe. I believe that God is in control(be it active, passive, or by some crazy means I can't even comprehend) of every molecule of the earth, to include every living organism,(including humans) and EVERYTHING happens according to His ultimate will. After all, he's God, right?

Yes He controls the weather, He's not limited to control of certain things of His creation.
Rain and thunder aren't signs of God's unhappyness, there are bigger ones out there, you just have to read........

No.
As many have seen from the effects of humans destroying the earth, things like global warming cause natural disasters to occur.
God does not send any particular weather forecast when he is 'unhappy'.

No. It's how he disproves science has RULES and LAWS. He makes sure you remember the Weatherman doesn't always get it right, despite PH Ds and computers and satelites.

Of course He can control the weather. See, He actually just lets things happen. He lets the natural cycle happen, but He can control it.
