Gay flamingos....

http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20070521/od_afp/britainanimalsgay;_ylt=Anq7G_0dwvN.gtVw7_MM5NHMWM0F

If in nature a creature that is with out an oppisit sex mate can CHANGE it sex... I believe some frogs do this as well as other species... if our Creator accepts this, allows this in nature then why does society have such a BIG problem with it?

I myself am not gay or lesbiean, however I do have friends that are... and I love them for WHO they are not what they do in the priavcy of their own bedrooms. And because I love my friends, and most of human kind... I do not feel it is my right to judge or condemn them...what I do believe it is my right to do is to love unconditionally, and to accept what makes them happy as long as it does not hurt or harm someone else.

So...why do so many feel it is their right to pass judgement when it seems that Creator accepts it and allows this in nature?

AMERICAN BEAUTY stated:

"Since we are human beings and not frogs (or any other instinctive species on Earth), it is foolish to make such a comparison. God has already dealt with the question of homosexuality, and He has said it is an abomination. If you want to question His authority, that is certainly your choice."

I believe it is FOOLISH to beliee that we as humans are NOT AN INSTINCTIVE SPECIES as well!

And I do question religion... to the point that I do not FOLLOW blindly. I also never claimed the CREATOR I referred to is the CHRISTIAN God...

I think if our Creator allows things to happen in nature that it is essentially NATRUAL and who is to say that flamingos are NOT SMART ENOUGH to choose their mates? HOW assinine of humans to believe that just because other creatures can not talk... they are not feeling and intellengent!

My response to LION OF JUDAH:

Yes I agree that all those things are natural! But I also believe that as rational humans we discern what is harmful to others and what is not... what goes on in someones bedroom is not the same as killing and eating a nother human. So there is no real corelation between my post and yours.

because we as a people love to pass judgement on other people for things that we don't understand or can't accept.

That isn't very good reasoning. The idea that God accepts something simply because it happens is derisory. Animals are insensate and don't have human feelings. God, does in fact, teach against homosexuality through His Prophets as recorded in the Bible. See Leviticus 18: 22, "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination."
2 Timothy 3:1-3 "This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without NATURAL AFFECTION, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good."
Romans 1:26, 31, "For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful."
Also, from a philospophical standpoint, homosexuality is wrong. According to Socrates, Pluto, Aristotle, Kant etc, anything that threatens not only the progress of mankind, but the existence of mankind is bad. One way to test something is to have a large portion of people doing something, then you can find if it is good or not. So, according to this, if everyone were homosexual, the entire human race would be gone in a single generation. That is more dangerous than any war or disease. So I am against homosexuality for religious reasons and philosophical reasons.

I know some really good quality gay folks. God calls us to love each other, I agree with that as well.

The problem you seem to have is with some of the basic teachings of the Old and New Testaments in Christianity. God's word is very clear about homosexuality. If you disagree with it, that is your choice. What seems sensible to you isn't in line with God's word.

We are all sinners. But calling sin something else, if you are concerned with living a Godly life anyway, is going to lead to spiritual death, again, according to God's word.

I don't hate homosexuals. Homosexuality is sin though.

God gave some animals the ability to change in order to protect their species. Man does not have that problem. God does not accept same sex unions and the Bible is very clear on that point. As to why some people feel the way they do.....well we all have our crosses to bear and God never gives us more than we can handle. It's in how we decide to handle it. I too know many who are gay that I love dearly, it doesn't mean I condone their lifestyle. They also understand my position and that is the point of love. The rest I leave to between them and God.

Ok, if you agree with that type of behavior and think it "natural" and that it is 'Ok" then you have to say that the following is also ok that occurs in the animal world, oh no! you can't "pick and choose" what is "comfortable, it is either all or nothing.

here is a list of other animal behavior's:

Kill and eat members of their species, that is, they are often cannibals;
“Kill and eat some of their offspring, that is, they commit cannibalistic infanticide;
“Compete with other males for the opportunity to have sex with a particular female, often killing or debilitating the rival;
“Fight with and exile or kill the 'owner' of a 'harem,' kill his 'children,' and then raise other children with the females in the harem (the females show no 'loyalty' to their former ‘husband' and blithely have sex with the new guy).
“Discriminate against and kill ‘aliens' to their particular territory or tribe;
“Often have sex with some of their offspring;
“Often have sex with relatives and near-relatives (from a human perspective, aunts, uncles, brothers, sisters, grandparents, etc.), in other words, they commit incest;
“Let the males just about always get their way (e.g., eat first, win any spats),
“Often allow large groups of males to have sex with a female, even leaving her near-dead or even dead, that is, they engage in 'gang rape;' and
“Often allow one male to hog all the females in a given area, driving away his 'sons' and his 'friends' who would like a little sexual 'pleasure' with the 'girls.'
“If we arbitrarily pick which animal behaviors to value, then any such study from which we get insights for human behavior is a complete waste of time.”
Also in response to what you posted, yes there is a correlation to what I post and yours,
How do you know what it harmful to others and what is not?
What evidence would you accept without bias and emotion?
If you say you cannot legislate morality, then I would ask, Is Murder against the law, you would of Course, say yes< why? why is murder against the Law, is that a legislation in morality? yes of course it is, all the laws on the books are a legislation in morality, the only difference is who's morality will you legislate,
I mean, look at Darwins laws of natural selection, According to that, there is no right or wrong, that might makes right and the weak die off to make room for the strong, So..if God does not exist, then what is right and what is wrong?
If it is a matter of opinion, who's?
If it is decided by society, how?
take both questions all the way back to the beginning of recorded human history and answer.
I mean, look, if it is as Darwin put it, and there is no right or wrong, and might makes right, then that would mean, that Hitler had it right, Stalin had it right, Napoleon had it right, not that any of them had Darwin in mind when they went about their thing in trying to conquer everything, but the point is clear, who decides what is right and what is wrong?

You cannot pick and choose from the animal world what is acceptable and what is not to make you feel justified in a particular type of behavior.

Those "Christians" who spend their time condemning and harassing homosexuals are not interested in scientific evidence, or even in serious discussion of the Biblical evidence. As one poorly-informed person said on a discussion group recently, "Anyone who understands English knows that the Bible is against homosexuality". Apparently the fact that the Bible is not originally in English, and that knowledge of English cannot settle any matter of Biblical interpretation whatsoever, is too much for this person to grasp.

I have a lot of discussions of homosexuality and the Bible on my blog at http://blue.butler.edu/~jfmcgrat/blog/ including links to other useful sites and discussions. There are also useful links on my web page at http://blue.butler.edu/~jfmcgrat/bible/homosexuality.htm

We are above animals for one. Two, God will judge not man but if no one tells them it is a sin how can they choose right from wrong. Once they have knowledge that it is a sin against God it is up to them to choose.

Christ WILL ACCEPT anyone who desires to Love Him, that REPENTS of their Sins, and follows Him the best they can. HOWEVER He does NOT ACCEPT that Sin, OR ANY SIN. Sin CANNOT dwell in the presence of God as he is HOLY WITHOUT SIN. God loves the person, BUT hates the sins. This goes for EVERYONE. Don't hate the messenger, as we who love Christ is just doing what He has asked us to do. Spread the Gospel. (the Good News)

Hi,your interpretation of what the "creator" or GOD condones is erroneous.... actually GOD or the "creator", calls homosexuality (not the homosexual) an abomination in HIS sight, Lev 20:13, and condemns it. Rom chapter one condemns homosexuality. And finally 1Cor 6:9 says, do not be deceived, anyone who practices homosexuality "will not" inherit the kingdom of GOD. And I say to you do not be deceived, homosexuals will
not inherit the kingdom of GOD.
~GOD BLESS YOU AND LEAD YOU INTO HIS PERFECT WILL FOR YOUR LIFE~

God does not accept same sex partners. It is clear throughout the Bible that same sex is a sin.
I do agree in loving and accepting people as they are.
