Wear the shirt and hat from your favorite driver.

Pick a Driver, buy some of his gear and wear that. If you don't have a a favorite Driver yet; buy some NASCAR gear. I saw that someone posted wearing College sports gear; and when I was in Bama there where alot of people during the Truck race wearing college gear; but on Cup Day it's all Cup Gear.

Have a soft sided cooler as well. If this is your first event; get there real early and enjoy the midway. In fact, go the day before the race and walk the midway; lots more free stuff and great deals at the NASCAR Clearence tent.

Oh, and if the budget is tight; go to Walmart or K Mart and pick up some gear real cheap. Then again the NASCAR Clearence Tent was awesome; massive deals.

Cut off all the sleeves on your t-shirts and you will fit right in. Some other tips:

Don't shower or use deodorant - you may be accused of being gay.

Fill your cooler with ice from the Motel 6 you are staying at, leaving none for the other guests.

If your favorite driver doesn't win, throw beer cans/bottles on the track and pick fights with the winning driver's fans - it's the idiot NASCAR way!

Don't forget your bucket of fried chicken. No self-repsecting NASCAR idiot mutant would show up without one!

You're 23, you have a whole lifetime ahead of you - don't waste your time at NASCAR races!

I went to my first Nascar race in March (Vegas). I noticed that everyone started looking the same only with different colors for the different drivers. Wear some jeans and a t shirt. When you get there go to the trailers that sell all the Nascar stuff and you can get a shirt, hat and ticket holder with your favorite driver right there and you will blend in with everyone else.

Definietly dress down- this ain't the Derby at Ascot. Jeans, T-shirt, ball cap, sneakers or other comfy shoes.....whatever you'd wear for a trip to Home Depot or Lowe's before starting on that home improvement project.

Ditch the preppy look, leave the suit & tie at home. Shoot, pretend you're going to a great big backyard barbecue, just you and 250,000 of your closest friends. Whatever you would wear for that , you'll be just fine.

Definitely take sunglasses, maybe some sunscreen, and if you have 'em, a pair of bunoculars to help see that wreck in the backstretch.

NASCAR events are not dress-up events, so the GQ look is out.

Anything goes as long as it's not a suit and tie lol. Wear a hat and/or shirt from your favorite driver. Also take a cooler for drinks, especially if you plan on drinking beer. Drinks and food are expensive, like with any major sport and as long as Nascar permits fans to take coolers I would take full of advantage of it. There's a size limit on the coolers though, so check with the track's website and see what they're limit is. Make sure you don't have glass bottles.

If you have clothing with your favorite driver on it, then by all means, wear it. It's great to show that you support your driver and I personally like the looks I get when I walk by Jr. fans and they give me that "look" because (surprise, surprise) Jr. and Gordon fans aren't supposed to get along. lol. I would suggest wearing a hat and taking some sunscreen and bring liquidation (unless you're planning to consume at the track-lol) and just have fun !!! I've been to plenty of races and have had a blast at every one, NASCAR FANS ARE THE BEST !

What I suggest is, taking a LOT of money, and then you can buy hats and jackets, shirts, shoes. You name it they have it in the front trailers before entering the race. So, I would wear something resemblance to your favorite driver (Dale Earnhardt Jr). For example, you could wear a BUD hat, wear a soild white t-shirt and buy a Dale Jr shirt or who ever ur fav driver is, and put it over ur white t shirt. WARNING- If you take an ice chest, it can't be oversized, trust me! If it's one of those that's just got a handle on it and is about 12" X 6" then ur safe. Another thing, there will be a LOT of red in the stands for Dale jr, and if u don't like him and ur sitting by someone with a beer and you scream out NO because he took the lead and place of ur fav driver, than they're probably gonna pour beer down back. Which section r u sitting in? And which track?

Don't wear ANYTHING that refers to another series, you will immediately be spotted and probably thrown out. At least look like you know where you are. Wear loose clothing especially if it is hot. I would also suggest a hat to keep your head and face cool. Be careful of your surroundings, if you sit among a certain driver's fans, but you cheer for someone else, you may face a little bit of ridicule.

Depending on the weather dress appropriately think jeans and a tshirt w/ your favorite driver, a cap if you want one. Maybe some sunglasses depending on where you are going maybe a umbrella. Look on the bright side if you don't feel like you fit in you can always go to the trailer of your favorite driver and buy something else
