My clutch engages at the very end of the pedal. I just installed a new clutch kit. The movement at the slave cylinder is only 1/2 inch when you press the clutch pedal. Can anyone tell me what is wrong?

Either air in the system or clutch master cyl is not pushing enough fluid. Bleed out the system first use a length of vacuum hose and place the end into a brake fluid bottle have another person operate the clutch pedal with there hand pump and pull up to fully release. Do this until all the air is out checking the small reservoir every 4 or 5 pumps don't let it run dry or you have to start over.

You may need to bleed the air in the line to the slave cylinder, or fill the reservoir under the hood.
