I don't let strangers into my home, most especially when I am alone.

However one day while out in the yard some young Mormons came by wanting to discuss their faith with me. Now I did not tell them that I am Pagan, nor did I judge or condemn them for their faith... a faith that sends them out to talk to others... instead I told them I did not have time to talk I was cleaning up my yard, but if they were so inclined as to help me clean the yard, I'd be more than glad to listen to them.

The two young fellows looked at each other and asked how could they help!

So, we had some amazing conversation while we cleaned the branches out of my yard and such. I enjoyed learning about anothers spirituality and being able to ask questions. No, I did not convert, but I learned, and I think that learning all you can about your own and other religions is important to the balance of this world.

So, should you allow them in... music may be a good thing... but sincerity may be even better. Don't let them in if you don't want to learn.

Somehow, I hesitate to ask what the "murkyworld of Joshua Kane" is all about...

I would open the door and tell them thank you for coming. That's it!

Invite them in for coffee!

And yes, by all means tell them about Joshua Kane!

Open the door with some voodoo music playing in the background and perhaps one of your friends in the backroom yelling "where's the god **** chicken at?"

Be creative if you don't want them coming back. Its more fun than just saying "don't come back here".

In fact, do this with any religious solicitors. Have a neighborhood watch for them.

Yes, by all means invite them in. You may trust them to not steal, they are polite, dressed like gentlemen, and are HIGHLY EDUCATED, but only in Mormonism.

So after you invite them in, Tell them you'd rather study God's word alone because Jesus said there would be FALSE PROPHETS, and Joseph Smith shouted from a platform when running for U.S. President: "I'll be the next Muhammad", Yes both were liars who used their position to deceive and seduce women.

This is to be expected, and a greater threat is identified in a Bible code at http://abiblecode.com

i invite them in, offer them drinks, and try to convert them to atheism. it usually ends up with them coming over a couple of times and then never showing up again. i move around a lot, so i get fresh batches occasionally.

Introduce them to your murky world, maybe that way they will think twice about knocking on your door.

There are bored people on Y/A. Should I answer their questions, who don't make much sense, or should I ignore them?

If you talk to them, you won't be having fun talking to us. Tell them to go away.
