To live.

What does it mean to be a tea pot atheist?

I'm a Buddhist but my husband is an atheist and I would say that he lives everyday like it was his last. He's kind, compassionate, concerned about the suffering of others, open-minded, intelligent, non-judgmental, accepts that I have spiritual beliefs, is a wonderful father, loving and just an all around great human being. That's a small version of the 'tea pot atheist' he is.

The point of life is to live.

Live until you can't.

Make as many memories as you can.
Be known.
Do something great.
Have children.
Marry off the children.
Have Grand-children and Great Grand-children.
Die old and wrinkled with the person you love buy your side.

Then your purpose is to never be forgotten.

To reproduce.

Did you mean *human* living? How, exactly does one feed a chemical reaction?
I suppose my answer doesn't matter, I'm not an atheist, I'm a biologist. (Not that the two are always found apart.)

Life is a delight. There is music and laughter and love and friendship and beauty.

Life is a delight even for those who don't believe in an afterlife.

Inevitably. IT is a shadow, a small grey cloud, a dirty tissue waiting for incineration. It doesn’t think it parodies and impersonates and on IT’s skin lies mould.
