find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.
I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.
It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.
Get started today!

There are plenty of foods you can eat, all the good types of foods like fruit particularly blueberries and kiwi's are good, vegetables, salad. Lots of fresh fish, rice, grilled chicken etc.
The best thing to do is avoid the no-no foods like cakes, biscuits, chocolate, bread, cheese.
Whatever you do though try not to deprive yourself of everything or you will make it too hard. I used to do Slimming World and the leader always said a little bit of what you fancy does you know harm. So if one day you want a bar of chocolate or a bag of chips, go for it, just be more careful the next day. But don't feel guilty for having a treat here and there.
Plus to lose weight the key really is exercise.

Plain water. It contains no calories, colourants, sugars or anything else. The weight would drop off in no time. For a more sensible answer any food that is low in fat and sugar will also be low in calories. Fibre will be up the digestive system to make food go through you quicker. Also don't forget plenty of fruit or veg.

You need to look at what metabolic type you are. There are 2 main types, carb tyopes and protien types, this is the reason some people swear by the atkins diet and for others it doesn't work at all.
If you follow the types of food reccomended by metabolic typing you will loose weight and feel healthier, you also won't crave food so much!
Check out this book on metabolic typing for more info, don't consider any form of dieting until you know what type you are!

A well balanced diet with plenty of fresh fruit and veg is best. Try to avoid fatty or sugary foods.
The best individual food to eat is celery - it has negative calories because it uses up more calories when your body processes it than it contains. I wouldn't recommend a diet of just eating celery though!

There is no particular food that will make you lose weight. A well balanced diet and lots of water with lots of exercise will help to keep you fit and will help you lose weight.

A good balance of nutritous, natural (not necessarily organic--but natural like whole grains, veggies, etc) and low-fat foods.
Asians eat pinapple after every meal because its known to help digestion--you could try that to help with metabolism.
Also concentrate on adding an excercise regimen into your week.
Good luck!

as others said, eat a healthy balanced meal. But to speed things up, you could go on a carbs free diet for a while to see if it works for you. You don't have to cut carbs out completely just cut out the main ones like bread, pasta, potatoes. However, if you don't eat many carbs in the first place, then probably not worth going on a carbs free diet just cut out all the unhealthy stuff you eat and no snacks between meals!
