What does this say about him? And why would he put us on the earth to create a 'sick' test? He is either evil and sick or completely doesn't exist. Explain if you believe in him why he wouldn't help out?

But the atrocities are the fault of humans, not God! Are you asking Him to bail us out every time we do something bad?

No I am suggesting him watch babies getting raped in Africa, what do you think?

"The reason God gave us free will is because he loves us. If we didn't have free will we would be just puppets. God also gave the angels free will. They only had one chance to chose God or reject God. That is how the devil came about. The devil was a Seraphim which means ( the burning ones) they are the highest order of Angele's. The devil was full of pride just the way you are. The devil told God i will not serve, and was cast in to hell by St. Micheal. As humans we can do something the angels could not do. Every time we reject God we can ask for forgiveness. Our Lord tells us there is no sin that can not be forgiven. As long as you can overcome pride and just as our Lord"

I am not joking but if you were say that at loud where I live, you would be locked in a mental institution.

Right.
When you think about it logically, pragmatically, you eventually come to realize (ping!) "god" doesn't exist.

I'll have to agree with you as far as that theology is concerned. You are absolutely right, if God loves everybody enough to give us all the capacity to choose, there should be enough love there to do something about all these atrocities, or at least prevent the most serious infractions. And you've gotten answers that say "I don't know," "It's a mystery," "Satan," etc. and I'm not satisfied with those answers.

But if you're finding a disconnect there, don't question God, question the theology, question where Mankind stands before God, and what we deserve! Take a look at the OT, and you'll see the same thing, lots and lots of violence and famines and pestilences, tearing even God's people up. Forty years in the wilderness, and the stories are there about people complaining about their lot in life.

Does God apologize? NO!!! Look at Job, he lost absolutely everything, only his life was spared, and God was not nice when Job complained. The Lord put him in his place, told him who owned the universe, and thethinker, there ain't no difference between then and today. Man is in the same predicament, he stands condemned under the federal respresentation of Adam, and God owes us nothing. It isn't a "sick test," we just have to realize who we are before the Lord. Christians trust him regardless, Jesus did not say "no fair" when he was crucified. Atheists curse and blame God. We read about their demise in Revelation as they don't learn their lessons and curse God even more for their misfortunes. In the end, He is glorified regardless.

So, take the atrocities the best you can and realize that God orders His universe as He sees fit. He guides the footsteps of the regenerate and the reprobate. And you have your role, a sinner like me borrowing some space for a little while on this planet.

If we use our free will to do things that shouldn't be done, it's because God is "sick"? If we exercise our free will to do something positive and healing, is that because God was having a good day that day? If God gave us free will, then if he interfered every time we use it in a way that He doesn't like, it isn't free will then, what would be the point of having it? What it says about Him, is he gave us free will, and other tools to work things out, and if we use those tools to commit atrocities, that is our fault. He doesn't interfere when we do something good, either....

The reason he has not interfered is due to Satan and man saying man could rule ourselves without God. His right to rule was questioned. Mankind's desire to worship God was questioned as well. Man serves God only for what they can get out of it, not from love and free will.

God being Justice itself, has given time for the question to be settled. By the looks of earth, man can't solve our problems. Satan was never intrested in SOLVING any problems.

God, meanwhile, has been active. He and his son, Jesus, have provided a perfect human life in exchange for the defective life of Adam. Providing a way out for humankind from of the sin of Adam.

Soon the time for God to take action to cleanse the earth will be here. This means solving the earth and man's problems. Those who have proved faithful until death and those who never had a fair chance to chose to serve God or not will be ressurected to a earthly paradise; just as God intended in Genesis at the Garden of Eden.

In response to your first question: If god gave us free will but won't interfere when atrocities are taking place, what does this say about him?

God – what ever we call him/her/god – created the human spirit and no one knows it better. Only through joy and suffering do we live and grow, and have an appreciation for life and our role in it is thusly renewed or established.

We are given the widest parameters to be as humane or horrific as we select. We were given straight-forward rules, commandments, etc. via various scriptures and examples to better define and demonstrate preferred behaviors within these parameters – so it was pretty clear on how we ought to act. Our greatest influencers are ourselves and what we allow. God built a sturdy house with clear rules. How we coexist and behave in it is upon us.

Grossly simplified: a very big house, lots of rooms with house rules posted on the refrigerator for all to read and self-select (free will) to adhere to. Decisions have consequences, good and bad, real and spiritual.

Next question: why would he put us on the earth to create a 'sick' test? God would not do this. Just as God would not create a world free of suffering (see my first response). We are the parties responsible for the level of joy and suffering. God has not delivered one baby nor pulled one trigger of a gun; God has not delivered peace or war. God allowed us – through free will – to have these occurrences take place. We thank God for the good, we ask God to help us through trying times, and we blame God for a lot.

If we want to see God, we look in the mirror.

What is occurring around us – good and bad – occurs not simply because God allows it, it is a result of our thinking, our spoken word, our actions and our own character. That is an old proverb: be mindful of your thoughts, they become your words; be mindful of your words, they become your actions; be mindful of your actions, they become your character.

I question individual and world character often. Thank God we have the free will to change it at anytime!

The problem isn't religion. But mans pride in not seeing the similarities in religions.
The first spirits came here and got trapped by the forces that create this world. Then the Human form was brought here for those spirits to live in until they could find their way back.
We come here because we want to. And there are no innocents. As we have all fought in wars, and went beserk with battle fever and murdered innocents.
And we must experience many aspects of what that did
to others.
We might have to give up our own Life early. To experience how that loss felt for one whose Life we took early. Or even help an adult who murdered in the past experience the loss of a child, like they caused for the child's parents. You see?
No simple answers.

God has tried to rectify things in the past with Soddam and Gomorahe and the flood and decided it was wrong. So he tried another approach. Jesus.

The problem lies and always has layed with Man.

Man chose to go against the grain and then make excuses.

God started it all, he has ever right to end it all.

He's chosen End of Times and is giving MAN an opportunity to prove his own worth.

Prehaps, on day, you will be accused of something and a Judge will decide to give you Community Service instead of Jail time, so you can prove your worth.

He's not here to play in our lives. God is responsible for every ounce of goodness on this earth. Sin is just a part of life. People cannot always get along. We have been isolated from each other culturally for SO many years. Globalization is like when two chemicals react. Of course as soon as we all start mixing, with the internet, transglobal travel, warfare, there is pain suffering death. But when the reaction cools, it becomes neutral. It is either hte apocolypse of the beginning of eden. You pick.

Why is God, if God exists, required to intervene in situations that we have created the conditions for in the first place and have within ourselves the capacity to change? And, who says that if God exists, that he isn't helping in some way that we simply refuse to accept or implement-- out of our own narrowness and egosim? One might ask questions of God like this in relation to what we perceive as natural evils-- such as fires, floods, and earthquakes, but in terms of our own actions, I don't think that God should be scapegoated in atrocities we perpetrate. In this respect, the enemy is ourselves and the consequences are ours to bear. Besides, if there is no God, or if God is indifferent, what ethic really exists other than self-interest anyway? And if this is the case, forget about worrying about things like atrocities, because it is every man for himself.

1 John 5:19
We know we originate with God, but the whole world is lying in the [power of the] wicked one.

1 Peter 5:8
Keep YOUR senses, be watchful. YOUR adversary, the Devil, walks about like a roaring lion, seeking to devour [someone].

Psalm 37:10
And just a little while longer, and the wicked one will be no more;
And you will certainly give attention to his place, and he will not be.
