What happens if a team has used all of their tires and then gets a flat?

They just have to use an old tire that they took off !

Yes they do limit the number of tires. Some Teams look over the tires they have taken off the car and should they need the extra set beyond the limit; they have those worn tires as a back-up.

A rule is rule, if they run out of tires and then have a problem their screwed! I think NASCAR made this rule so that the bigger teams who can afford to buy all the tires they want would not have an advantage over smaller teams who can't afford to buy several sets of tires each week.

Recycle a tire that was taken off @ an earlier pit stop. I believe the teams are given 7 sets of tires per race. You may want to go to nascar.com for Official Rules.

They can use all the tires they want but they have to during Green flag laps.As for limits yes they are limited what they can do or the number of tires they can use changing during cautions.

They only limit how many you bring to each race, not how many you use. Thats why some times youll see crew chiefs talkin amongst themselves making deals for tires. They can do trades and use others tires.

NASCAR considers a flat tire as a threat to safety, so they are allowed an extra tire for that wheel only.
That's how I understand it, I believe it's right.

rules are rules, your done after that. you can put an old tire back on but cant get any new ones.
