Temple pain-how serious?

The area above my right temple is tender and sore to touch and I sometimes get pain there. It also hurts to chew (no toothache) and my jaw feels stiff. Anyone had this? I a so worried but can't see a doc tonight. I am 30.

number 1 you have temple pain, number 2 it hurts to chew , number 3 stiff jaw ...........soudns like your fixing to be heading down the tmj roller coaster of disaster ........

cause those were my symptoms in the beginning........eventualy you will end up with tooth and jaw pain and no medication even prescription drugs will make the pain go away .......

your a grinder plain and simple you grind your teeth in your sleep and i bet when your on the computer you prop your face up with ither your left hand on the side of your left face or your right hand on the side ofy our right face ....that will add to the problum as well

see a doctor also tell him someone online told you that you have some symtoms of tmj .......if he doesnt know whats wrong go to a denist and tell him someone told you you might have tmj and you need to get checked

if it turns out you do have it ............you will go through pure hec on this one..............forget buying a mouth guard they dont work ive spent hundreds of bucks on them they just made my tmj worse

just make sure you dont lean like i said when your on the computer

and you probably grind but dont know it especialy in your sleep

train yourself to stick your tounge between your teeth and that will fix it all
