It depends how much performance you want out of your car. If you want maximum response when accelerating, use the premium fuels. If you're willing to have the car run a little rougher to save a few bucks, go for the regular.

Personally, I'd consult the dealer I bought it from. they would probably know best about the recommended fuel for the vehicle. (or check out the website for the make and model of the vehicle).

no it is not required due to the fact that regular fuel today has enough additives that it will work. ive had two nissans with the vq v6 and use reg since gas is $$$$. but u lose some mpg when using reg. so u need to weigh the benefits for u. if u do use reg, use premium fuel at least once every 6 weeks and try to make it shell V-power. v-power was developed for use by ferrari and the gas is so uniquely made that it can clean out gunk accumulated in the engine from even the most crappy gas. not to mention it makes ur car run noticeably faster.

Yes it will ping and take ignition timing away. But you will find premium fuel 20 cents more a gallon is a wash because the 3 to 4 miloes a gallon better mileage with the 91 to 93 octaine.

Sorry, if the owners manual says premium fuel is required, then premium fuel is required. Thats how the engine was designed. You should not have bought that car if you couldn't afford the gas. Sell it and buy something that takes regular gas.

if you want your car to run at optimum condition and for your motor to stay cleaner and last longer use premium. If you do a test you will also see your gas mileage is better on premium so in theory you are not spending that much more for a better gas

Look at the gas cap when you open it up there is a sticker there taht says if it's premium or not. But Mid-grade works as well.

Um... I put 87 octane in mine because 85 does cause pinging. However you don't need to go all the way up to 91.

probally not with a six, the only time you need premium is when the owners manual calls for it
