It is not that the racing is so bad as there are rule changes so teams do not have a hold of,there are style of cars that changed by the manufacturer, and the C O T as well.
There have been technical things that are added from specs to tires.
NASCAR rule changes that have caused some confusion.
then there has been mass confusion on penilties to NASCAR politics to popular drivers disgrunteled about everything from races to contracts to type cars driver to the weather.
Bad racing no,complicated racing yes.

I'm not sure what races you thought were "bad" but I think the action on the track has been pretty good. If your driver isn't doing well, as many of them aren't, that could make you think that the racing has been bad. When they go to the COT full time it will level out more and Hendrick Motorsports has NOT dominated the COT races as much as the finishes might suggest. I think bringing in the COT AND Toyota in the same year was a shock to many of the long time fans and NASCAR would have been wise to work those in on different years. The Worst thing about this year has been the tires. They were horrible at Vegas and at Lowe's for the All Star race.

This year has been especially bad for competitive racing. I can't help but wonder why it is that in no other division are the chevy's dominant like cup. Not tryin to sound like Tony Stewart, but, I'm pretty sure something stinks about the chevrolets, I mean the Busch series is already over and it's a ford running away, the truck series has a race going with multiple manufacturers, however in the cup NOTHING can run with the chevy's the drivers are good, but not that much better than the others. It is very lame, however I believe it is this way for good. Have you ever noticed if you don't like a chevy driver, you need to order track pass to know what the hell is going on with your car. And look how crappy Tony's attitude on and off track are, any other driver would be stoned to death for acting the way he does. Just a couple observations but the question does still stand, Why only in Nextel do the chevy's dominate?

What season have you been watching. We have had some great finishes this season and some of the most exciting racing I have seen in a while.

Texas; the showdown with Burton and Kennseth. The California Tag Team of Jeff and Jimmy swapping paint for 10 laps at Martinsville. Harvick nosing out Martin at Daytona while a huge multi-car crash was going on behind them. Bowyer finishing the race on his hood.

Yeah the COT is proving to be a challenge for most of the Teams and yeah the Hendricks dominance is upsetting some Fans; but there is lots of on-track drama this season to make most Fans drool.

I hated 2005 because my Driver didn't make the Chase and Roush Racing was dominating the series; but there was still some great racing going on that year. So if your Driver is not doing well this year; I am sorry; but try to enjoy the racing anyways; you might be suprised at just how good it really is.

It's not bad to me...but I'm pulling for Gordon. This whole Hendrick domination will end (although I'm loving it!!) soon enough and there will be more diversity in Victory Lane and then I guess you will consider the season "good" again. It's incredibly funny how no one seems to complain when someone besides Gordon, or now Johnson, is dominating. But when they are, the whining starts popping up everywhere. But wait a minute!! Gordon is supposed to be the one whining...right?!?! If he complained half as much as the fans against him do THEN I would consider him a whiner. Gordon is a WINNER not a WHINER. I can tell you one thing...if you are only a fan of NASCAR when your driver is winning, then you truly aren't a fan of NASCAR in the first place.

It's terrible if your not a Gordon fan.

I mean the squeaky little guy runs around whining and then wins every thing. You'd almost think he was born in a race car.
How in the world can he do it. Is it possible that any one guy can be much better than anybody else. You'd almost think the other guys are a bunch of rookies when you put them next to Gordon. How can this happen.

Beside the Hendricks teams has anybody else showed up to race. I haven't seen them to much.

It is also terrible that Jr hasn't been able to hack it this year.
That's why he is leaving his fathers team. The driver team communication is very poor. I hope he can find a good team like Hendricks then we can see how good he really is.

Hendrick Motorsports has found something that the other teams haven't winning 8 of 11 races. NASCAR wanted parity and they got dominance by one team who is apparently their favorite team because they have chose to do nothing to find out why or what Hendrick has that the others don't have.

I think the COT is some of it, it's not a hit with the fans or with me. Plus one race team is winning all the races right now. Hendricks has won all the races, except for the Daytona 500 and the all star race, but that will probably change.

I wouldnt call this a 'bad' season.I for one like the COT and cant wait til they race it at Talledegga.Of course i am a hendrick fan so my teams not doing so bad this year...i still dont like the points system...there should be more points for wins but oh well.Gordons running away with it.Gordon or Johnson for championship,Johnson wins most races.

I think the racing has been great, particularly at the COT races. The reason the racing was so bad at Lowe's on Saturday was the tire they brought to the track. The drivers say that the tire is so hard, that is does not grip the track at all.
