I am size 12, 6 ft tall and i have a lot of muscle, i think im about 175-180lbs

I'm not an expert but in America you have those sizes...size 8 is European size for (36-38) size 10(38-40), 12(40-42) and 14(42-44)..i think that should be easier or..8=small, 10-12=medium and 14-16=large...and the other numbers are XL...i don't know did i make it any essayer for you...anyway you don't measure it in anything that's just your dressing size...

US size 14 standard measurements: 40 inch bust, 32 inch waist, 42 inch hips.
It's not that big like people are saying, most people don't have a clue about clothes sizes.

if you are really tall its ok to wear a size 14
but american women are size 14
mariah carey, katherine zeeta jones...
these are not exactly thin women but still quite attractive
