I hate it when people are sickening sweet to you but you can tell that all they are thinking is how much they hate you. I mean they are being nice, you can't just be like "You cow, I know you hate me." I work with a few ladies like that and as soon as you turn your back they are talking bad about you and spreading nasty rumors. When you confront this kind of person they are like "Oh I would never say that about you. You are one of the best people here. I love your personality SO much. It really hurts me that people would say these things." You don't have to like everyone in the world, but you do need to try to get along. You don't have to treat the people you don't like like they are the most important people in the world and be a kiss up. I guess what I am trying to say is I hate fake people.

People who lack common courtesy, which is many things.

Good manners are the nice way of doing things, it makes life more pleasant overall. Rude behavior - such as standing too close to the next person in line, talking loudly on your cell phone, not saying please and thank you - are all violations of basic etiquette. Of course there are more complicated "rules" of etiquette, but the basics are the bare bones minimum ... and it irritates me to no end when I encounter people who can't even be polite in a given situation.

oh, where do I start:

* inconsiderate people
* unreasonable people (think this has to be the worse)
* people that open all the windows on the train because they got up late and run for the train and boarded it all sweaty (not caring about anyone else who is cold)
* people that have a cigarette before getting on the train and thus stinking of stale cigs - which is hard going when you have to sit next to them for an hour!
* when people crunch food really loudly, or don't close their mouth before crunching a crisp - jeez I hate that!

other than that, people are great ;o)

Spitting in public, talking too loud, baring their flesh in inappropriate situations, talking gibberish, PDA in an OTT way, swearing, littering, letting their dogs foul the pavement, letting their children run wild and behave badly, not respecting other people's privacy, not respecting other people's ways of doing things, being too nosey, being too indifferent, being too selfish, being over enthusiastic, too much words and too little action, snobbery, showy clothes, flashy cars, insincere compliments, being untidy or unhygienic, having bad taste... the list can go on and on, if not for the fact that I'm running out of time.

Not really listening when another is talking, seeing their views as infalliable, expecting others to change to suit them. Basic human traits. I'd be a hermit in the Appalachians in about 10 years if I didn't learn to tune it out and try to appreciate their sense of humor or something.

People who sit there rubbing their hands or fingers; people who put their hands up their tops; people are constantly petting their hair; people who go 'aah' after drinking something; people who sit on the underground with their eyes closed, listening to an mp3 player; when people are pay more attention to my dog than me; people who put their hand on my shoulder; people asking me if I watched Peep Show, yes, of course I did you imbecile; people who rustle their hand around in a packet of crisps and can't be bothered to look and see that there's nothing left; people who hold the book they're reading in the air so that everyone can see how cultivated they are; people explaining why something is funny; people calling cloudy but dry 'dismal weather'; people who try my glasses on and tell me it looks worse; people spraying deodorant in company; people who get football statistics wrong; people asking me 'Isn't it sad?' about Madeline McCann; people on laptops, on their own, laughing at things; and much, much more.

A lot of things people do annoy me. People can be so inconsiderate.

A few things that annoy me:
- People who smoke around others.
- People who litter or are in other ways lazy to clean up after themselves (like colleagues who leave their cups in the zink for someone else to wash after them!).
- People who stand in the middle of a corridor or a door chatting and don't make space for people to pass around them and pretend they don't notice you when you're trying to pass them.
- When a few people walk side by side and take up all the space on the pavement and don't make space for a person coming from the opposite direction to pass them. Rather than walking in line or stepping aside for a second to let someone pass they walk on side by side, forcing the other person to step out on the street or make a big circle around them to pass them.
- People who are rude or disrespectful to people who haven't done anything to them, often because of prejudice, stereotypes or a class-gap.
- People who assume a lot about others.

I don't like those disgusting guys who need to demostrate each other how intelligent and macho they are. They are competing with you all the time, even having dinner or at the cinema!!!. I call it envy, a lot of envy and lack of self-confidence.
