What is the proper etiquette to pulling up your zipper in a public area when it is down for males or females? I try to always remember to pull my zipper up before leaving the house, it's one of my worst nightmares if I go out and my zipper is down and it has only happened about 5 times or so. But it is embarrassing. If I'm in a room with other people or public area I usually hide my problem til I am away from those people and then I pull my zipper up. But can't I just pull it up without having to be alone, though this is very awkward? Please, what seems to be the proper etiquette when it comes to this? Thanks.

Let it be pulled out by your woman friend with you alone.

Discreetly turn away from view and pull up the zipper. If you are caught, give a sheepish grin and say something like "I hate it when that happens". I don't think there is a person on Earth that wears zippered pants that this hasn't happened to! People will not care very much, it isn't that big of a faux pas ... unless you are showing everything that God gave you!

I have jeans with a zipper like that. The only solution seems to be not to wear it anymore in public but use it up around the house.

I just laugh a bit and pull it up. The only people who would be offended by that are people who are incredibly far up their own asses.
