You know what? I do believe that the Sabbath is still a holy day, because it is one the ten commandments. Christianity has taken Sunday as their day, but I believe that we should honour the real Sabbath.
For a while, I started keeping Saturday as a day of rest for myself -- just to focus on God and really rest, relax and be refreshed. I did it in my heart towards God, and did not try to force it on anyone else, just a private thing. And I felt that God honoured that.
I have not kept it up, because of work, etc, but would like to eventually be able to do it again.
It is hard because the worship services are all on Sunday, (except Seventh Day Adventists) and so you can't really share this with other Christians. I tried to honour the Sabbath and then go to church on Sunday to worship but right now my job doesn't always allow me to have both days off. So I do my best and I believe that the LORD understands.
But I still do not believe the Christian argument for giving up the Sabbath and turning to Sunday. I have studied quite a bit but am still not convinced.
My favourite Bible verse is:
Isaiah 30:15
For thus saith the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and ye would not.
The Lord wants us to rest and return to him, every day ... he is our Sabbath.

Christians do not observe the Sabbath...period. The Sabbath was and still is observed by the Jews. The ten commandments do not apply to Christians any more than the other Judaic laws. If it did, we would all have been stoned to death by now.
Christians go to church on Sundays because the New Testament example is that the Christians came together on the first day of the week (Sunday) to worship. It is not a holy day, but rather a day that has been traditionally chosen as a day of worship. All of the principles in the ten commandments are reiterated in the New Testament except for honoring the Sabbath.

Naw, Jesus reported the Sabbath replaced into made for guy, and not guy for the Sabbath. the only between the ten commandments no longer reitierated in the recent testomony is the command to maintain the Sabbath holy. The Sabbth Day, orr seventh, replaced into and nonetheless is Saturday. Christians worship on Sundays as a results of fact Christ rose from the lifeless on a Sunday...

I don't know how many Christians honor the Saturday Sabbath but the traditional Sabbath falls on Saturday because it is the seventh day of the week and God rested on the seventh day. No work of any kind is done from sunset on Friday until sunset on Saturday but religious services are observed on Saturday- generally in the morning.
Let me add that are certain Christian churches-they hold the same fundamental beliefs as the other Protestant churches-that observe the Saturday Sabbath , instead of the Sunday Lord's Day.

Sunday has never been called the Sabbath, it has always been called the Lord's Day. It was a day of rest at one time.
But the Sabbath as it was instituted was a day of doing God's will rather than our own, (along with resting from labor). In that regard, the Sabbath is a state of mind, not a day. We are to be doing the will of the Father rather than our own every day.
We are no longer a slave to the law, Jesus came to fulfill the Law, not to reinstall it for the umpteenth time.

True, we are to keep a day in a week as our Sabbath to listen and know the word of God and have fellowship with our brethren. But which day is that?
Did you know that the Sabbath that Jesus taught His disciples is Sunday and not Saturday? I found this as a result of my research as to the crucifixion date of August 17 that the Holy Spirit revealed to us (plural), the website is cited below. Did you know that He confirmed to us that we, Christians, should observe Sabbath on Sunday?
The Jews observe their Sabbath on Saturday but the followers of Jesus observe it on Sunday. When I checked the veracity of the revealed crucifixion date, 16 years after I first heard it in 1983, I did not have any idea of the results. My research was focused on checking if August 17 that He revealed is true or not. After four years of research (1999-2003), I found it to be true and correct. One on the notable findings of this research is that the disciples of Jesus were already observing Sabbath on Sunday.
From the time that Jesus was crucified until the discovery of the empty tomb, a period of three days and three nights was completed as what Jesus said regarding Jonah and the whale. Just think, if Mary Magdalene were to bring spices for the corpse of Jesus, why wait after three days and three nights? It was because on the third day, even though it was a market day, it was their Sabbath. The only time that Mary Magdalene and two other women went to the market to buy the spices was after their Sabbath. And the shops were still open after sundown because it was summertime. It was August.
Why were the shops still open? During summer, shops were open in the morning. Then from noon till about 4 PM, the shops were closed because it was very hot. At 4 PM, the shops reopened and remained open even after sundown. The Sabbath of the followers of Jesus was until sundown. So after their Sabbath, Mary Magdalene, et al., went to market to buy the spices and found it to be still open.

The Sabbath has not changed since creation.
There is alot of history over the centuries that forced and compromised and pushed worship to sunday. Which is wrong.
The market place seems to be more important than worship, and it isn't just a jewish thing, it is a christian thing. All God's children are to observe the Sabbath.

Jesus was questioned for doing things on the sabath. so what I take from it is Jewish law was too harsh. Jesus is our example. He didnt teach only on the sabath. He said his Father worked everyday, so he did as well. Jesus is our father. So if we pick a day to worship him, and its sunday, Jesus doesnt mind. If it is a sin, it is a sin that is forgiven.

We count Monday as our first day of work,
and Sunday as our seventh day " Sabbath, ( cease ) "
to rest and keep Holy.
*This was started by Christians after Jesus Resurrection.
