Does it perhaps have anything to do with the legalization process itself?

Or, rather, the naturalization process.

Life sucks in the other country, so much so they're desperate and impatient. It may suck for a multitude of reasons--you're broke as hell with no chance of a job or there's no food even if you can afford any or someone wants to stone you for looking at a man or they want to imprison you for having an opinion or your parents want to mutilate your genitalia so you can be a "good" girl--but that's the basic reason I see. The process does have a *lot* of hoops for people to jump through, and sometimes the system just doesn't work.

My wife's family came here when she was a teenager, from what was the USSR, and got political amnesty because they were pro-democracy activists and it was at the end of the Cold War period. She became a citizen pretty easily. She empathizes with the illegals because she thinks it could so easily have been her and her family, but for a twist of geography and politics.

By the way, I know this will sound oh so politically correct, but I don't think any of today's illegal immigrants are anywhere near as destructive as the ones who landed in what would be called Jamestown and Plymouth. You know they didn't pause to ask for a visa or go through a process. And talk about destructive to a culture...! So for their descendants to talk about fences makes me laugh and laugh.

Depends where the illegals are coming from and to which Country, it's not just an issue for the USA. most common reasons would be to escape poverty, or atleast to seek a better life for their children (the grass is always greener), escape War or Genocide - these arn't just political refugees ! Political prosecution. But yes you may be right the beurocratic process for immigration is writh with flaws and inconsistencies, theres plenty of "illegals" here in Australia from the UK due to very harsh age limitations and to join family members. Sadly you have more chance of being granted refugee status here on the basis of "Family Reunion" if your an unskilled Asian or Middle Eastern immigrant than if your from a wealthy First World Nation or Allied Nation, Confused ? I am !

i'll do my superb to no longer bypass off subject count number. They for sure come here for justice, risk and equality. additionally, even however the yank financial equipment isn't the wonderful precise now, this is nevertheless alot extra advantageous than the place they arrive from. the main considerable reason they're rigidity to return Illegally is through fact they have not got the money to get carry of the checklist papers to return to united statesa. Legally and because there's a extensive waiting era to easily get carry of legal archives. no longer only that, Their government/u . s . flourishes through fact unlawful immigrants deliver money to their previous u . s . to assist any kin residing there through fact there is little risk to make a respectable residing(they do help their families over there). i will't say they're totally responsible through fact:a million.) If the yank government truly needed to, they could administration the boarders and placed a end to unlawful immigrations. they only won't do it through fact they earnings extra out of it (with affordable exertions artwork comes extra earnings that they are in a position to pocket mutually as human beings blindly component hands on the "issue" yet no longer the source.) 2.) maximum do come to hit upon/make/stay a extra advantageous existence. this is only their teenagers(or Americanize teenagers extra often than no longer) that get lazy or get injury through fact they have it extra straightforward only through fact their mothers and fathers are breaking their backs to be solid companies. 3.) there is a number of of people/Europeans/Mediterraneans(or human beings around those aspects) that Migrate Legally into Mexico, considerable & South united statesa. only through fact they have the Riches to take action and particularly plenty take over particular aspects with their companies and stay super(this is the equivalent of giving the middle finger to the interior of sight human beings. so of course in the event that they are in a position to't do an identical and flow out legally, they're gonna do it illegally) i prefer to propose you do extra analyze to get a extra advantageous understand-how. even however, desire this helps

If you are talking about America the reason I see is they have seen how lax our government is on enforcing our laws. And it does take a few years usually to become a citizen because of so many wanting to come here. Funny how I hear how everyone hates us so, well you sure couldn't tell it by the number of people who want to become Americans. Illegals for the most part don't want to become Americans they want what America has to give away and keep their loyalty to their home countries. And our government is bending over backwards to accommodate them. It's going to eventually bite them and us really hard right in our collective butts.

It's a "no-brainer!" If all someone has to do is walk across the border and it's a guaranteed job with benefits for the kids, when nothing existed before, why NOT do it.

Problem isn't the immigrants, but the US govt. They won't enforce the existing immigration laws. Instead, they want to make fresh new laws. Just plain stupid stupid stupid....

To ignorant and lazy to change their form of government, or revolt against their our government.
Seems to me that if over 20 million illegal aliens we have here in the USA would stand up and demand a better life in their own Country, their government would have to notice.
But why do that when the EASY thing to do is to come to America and DEMAND RIGHTS.......? And Senators like Kennedy and Reid are willing to give it to them.

Because they want jobs and employers want workers.
Also because 10 years is too long for an American to wait for her family member.

It probably does have something to do with the process, since nobody likes dealing with bureaucracy. Nevertheless, the reason is irrelevant. Stopping the invasion is what's important.

Lack of respect for the laws of the country the illegal alien is going to.

If they will break this law, they will and usually do break others.

We can't "pick and choose" which laws we agree with and choose to break the ones we don't...

It all boils down to -------WANT.

No cases of starvation have been recorded (not one). No one fled with a gun to their back. So that rules out need. You can say all the reasons you have but it all all boils down to the same. Since these two factors were not the cause it is want.. Up to the individual to decide if that want is strong enough to be right or wrong.
