Hi Getaknocking
The meaning of your dream is that you dreamt you were sitting on a hilltop on a sunny day, holding a woman, and you felt happy because the sun made you warm.
But you already know that.
Two years later - which is AT LEAST 2,500 dreams later, and probably a lot more - you SEEM to be wondering if the dream had a significance you didn't recognise at the time.
Simple answer: "Dreams are weird, almost by definition." They are symbolic, metaphorical, often jump about instead of showing a simple sequence of events, etc., etc., etc. So trying to interpret them literally makes very little sense.
I wonder if you know that we all go through an average of 3-4 periods of REM sleep per night (that's when we usually do our dreaming).
And we may well have more than one storyline during each period of REM sleep.
Moreover, if we remember our dreams at all it is usually only a small portion of the last dream before we wake up.
So, in relation to ALL the dreams you have each week (at least 24), let alone each year, this one dream is a very tiny portion of your overall dream life, and no more significant than any other thought you've had over that two year period.
To put it another way, there are AT LEAST 6,000,000,000 people in the world, each having AT LEAST 3-4 dreams each night (and probably many more). So that's AT LEAST 20,000,000,000 (20 billion) dreams per night, all around the world.
Wouldn't it be pretty amazing if dreaming about stuff like sitting on a hilltop, holding a woman, or whatever, had exactly the same meaning in every single dream it appeared in, regardless of the dreamer's:
- age
- sex
- country/culture
- personal circumstances
- etc?
In other words, the things in YOUR dreams have meanings that make sense in YOUR dreams. And they don't even necessarily have the same meaning for you EVERY time they appear.
Anyone with a reasonable imagination could invent a detailed interpretation for any dream, (see the variety of DIFFERENT interpretations offered in reply to other questions about the meanings of dreams on this forum) but however interesting - or painfully unimaginative - their interpretation might be, it is VERY unlikely to be true.
Because:
The purpose of dreams, as far as we understand them, is to process the vast amount of information that comes in through your senses each day whilst you're awake.
On this basis the "meaning" of our dreams is simply that we are making sense of information which previously didn't have a "meaning", for us, because it hadn't been processed so as to fit into our mental maps of the world (all your existing beliefs, ideas, values, etc.).
Given this purpose, there will always be something in each dream, though we may not remember it, which ties the dream to recent "real life" events. However most of the things which appear in our dreams may have nothing to do with what has been happening in our life just before the dream occurs. Things can appear in a dream that have been part of the dreamer's memories as far back as they first started forming memories - or anytime in between then and now.
Nor do the things in your dreams have to be obviously related to each other. Like I said, dreaming is a process of finding/making meaning, and the brain can draw from anywhere in its huge store of memories in order to carry out that process.
By the way, there is nothing random about this process, but your subconscious mind can come up with connections that your conscious mind would never dream of (!), which is why dreams often seem pretty weird. Like dreaming about sitting on a hilltop in the sun, holding another woman.
So when, if ever, someone happen to notice that they are having what seems like a weird dream they can literally rest assured that everything is OK. Their brain is actually doing, with great skill, one of the many jobs it was designed to do.

Sunny day = desire
green hill top = self esteem, confidence
holding a woman = support gained
Looks like you have some sort of desire in life and this desire had something tod do with your support. Somehow in reality you have gotten help you need and you are feeling satisfied and content. The dream reflects your contentment and whatever it is, you will know better and basically you just vent out your feeling in dream

It depends if you are a believer in Christ. Then this is what your dream means. The green hill represents a prosperous high place in the Lord. The woman you were holding represents the church. The warmth you felt represents the face of God shining on you.

Sitting on the top of a grassy hill top, symbolizes a sense of self reliance. Reaching a sense of your own natural protection.
..Having the sunshine, can bring many symbols to *light* (literally)
..A peace of mind, a sense of your own tranquility or own radiant energy.
It is a very good auspice to have the sun shining on you in your dream..
Having/Holding "a woman" can touch on many issues, all of course having to do with nurturing and passivity. Your own, either sharing or seeking it.

The other woman you were holding could be representing yourself. Perhaps you felt happy and secure, so in your dream you were holding her while the sun was shining and warm.
Sounds nice.

woman:
if the dreamer is a woman, the female figures in her dream may represent aspects of herself, including those aspects that she does not immediately recongnise or identify with. by prejecting these feelings onto another female figure, the dreamer is able to express herself in a less confronting manner.
that's all my book says...hope it helps you out a lil..
