He's 20 mths old and when he wees the wee comes out to the left. It naturally sits to the left, almost touching his leg. I am female so dont really know if this is normal.

Should I be concerned?

it comes out of the centre of his body. He has quite a large penis (lucky lad) but I just hope it will work properly when he's a man!

Thanks for all your serious answers! I worried I'd get a load of horrible answers from heartless so and so's!

No, its quite normal. As long as the base is near the center of his pubic bone and the hole for the urethra is near the center of the head, there is nothing to worry about. A little leftish on the stream or dressing to the left is fine.

At 20 months your son is a little young to already be "dressing to the left" or "dressing to the right." This usually doesn't happen until a boy goes through his 6 to 7 year growth spurt and actually has something to dress to one side.

If your son is in diapers or pull ups, simply make sure to adjust his penis so that it tucks straight down into where the absorbent lining of the diaper is, rather than aiming it at a specific leg hole.

Has he ever been evaluated for chordee? Chordee is one of the most common birth defects in male babies. With chordee, the penis is curved in one direction instead of being straight. Usually it curves forwards but it can curve to the side as well. There is also a condition called "webbed penis" in which the penis is being pulled to one direction because there is skin that is still attached and tugging it over.

Have your pediatrician check your son at his next check up. In the meantime, dress him straight down rather than to the left. Hope this helps!

I don't think it's a problem or a big deal. If you're concerned you can always ask his doctor about it. Can't say I paid that much attention to my son's willy.. but I think his goes straight down the middle.

Never had any sons, but I would imagine that as long as it works, it really doesn't matter which way it sits. Don't get bent over nothing. God Bless.

My son is not circumsized, and he is crooked. He hasn't had a problem with it yet, and is 6 years old.
