Some nerves never come back. Neuronton is one drug, but has been replaced by Lyrica, also a very spendy drug, I'm on this one.
I've had twelve surgeries on my back and had server damage to my back nerves. I'm in constant pain.
Sometimes you just have to learn to live with it. I start like you i '94 and every year it gets worse. I look forward to a better year every year but the doctors just knock me down. Hang in there.

Not sure what neorition is...but if your Doctors say itll always be numb, its because they know the nerve has been severed and they did not suture it back together. you see when a nerve outside the brain or spinal cord is damaged, amazingly it can grow back to a certain level of normalcy. but when it is not repaired, and there are often times when this is the surgeons only choice, the two ends of the nerve cannot "find" eachother and will result in numbness. Theres no medication for this, but trust me, it could be a lot worse. Many nerves in the mouth (cranial nerves VII and V) deal with taste, and that would be a much worse thing to lose as im sure ud agree :) hang in there, and talk to your surgeon if you have any concerns and he can tell you more specifically from what type of procedure you had done what you can expect. good luck, i hope this helps

Try Lyrica it is for nerve damage. It helped me with my nerve damage in my knee after a car accident. It helps with the pain associated with nerve damage.

Hope this helps, and good luck!!!!
