I see a lot of Christians complaining how their particular god is being bashed more than other gods.
I've never seen it, but if they feel it like that, I'd like to know what "bashing" is. Many religious people disagree with my atheism, but I've never felt "bashed". I simply understand they disagree, and I'm not that easily offended.
I also see many people disagree with Christianity. If I question the horrible concept of hell, people tell me to stop bashing. But I fail to see what "bashing" is. Is it anything more than disagreeing?
Or is it just that if people whine enough times about being 'bashed', that some people actually start to believe it to be true? Is a person that's easily offended more bashed than a laid back person, who doesn't take it all so seriously?

Bashing is in the mind of the bashee. Love the Basher, hate the bash. For Bashee so loved the world .............
Christians are most easily bashed when Atheists request that they refrain from quoting the bible. This demand for "self-thinking" drives the Bashees into a state of Bashpersecution Syndrome.
They wiggle and hop about in B-delirium.
It's cute, actually...yet sad.

I have seen it here, but not just with the Christian religion. In fact I believe that Atheists take on more bashing than Christians do. There is nothing wrong with disagreement. Disagreement and stating your belief is a good way to share and learn from different points of view. However when people make fun of someones belief, or put that person down for believing what they do instead of stating what they see as being problematic with the religion, that is what I would consider bashing.

I have heard little bashing on here, I have personally done a little bashing in chatrooms in the past though. Bashing is different than arguing a point of doctrine. If I am engaging in honest debate about some story or belief, that is just debate. Bashing is when you use circular reasoning to frustrate and annoy Christians (or other fundamentalists) to the point where they sputter nonsense. It is an intellectual knockdown that equates to picking on someone smaller than you and I'm not proud of having done it, but there you are.

The people who are easily offended come in all types. They are not just Christians. Also, there are laid back people of every kind. I don't get offended by insults, I ignore them the best I can. There have certainly been enough of them directed toward God and Christianity. I see them directed toward other beliefs as well. "Bashing" happens, but the solution is to not get upset by it and respond with insults in return. I follow Jesus, and He said not to do that.

A lot of these people have confused themselves with God. If you disagree with their politics or opinions, you are disagreeing not just with them and their allies, but with God His Very Own Self. And if you disagree with their conclusion on religion, oh, watch OUT!
I see what you mean. As a Pagan, I don't feel "bashed" if you don't believe in Athena or Poseidon, either. Lots of people don't, and I think my Gods are too big to care and happy that some of us are paying attention, anyway.
I do feel bashed as a person if you are spreading falsehoods or just blatantly trying to insult our religion. ("Pagans are all flaky, believe in fairy tales, have ritual sex, blah blah blah.") And it is insulting to the Gods to call Them demons, but again, I think they're beyond caring.
A wonderful Susan B. Anthony quote comes to mind: " I distrust those people who know so well what God wants them to do to their fellows, because it always coincides with their own desires."
So I ask Christians here--speak as yourself, and let your God sort things out. If your God has an issue with us, well, let him bring it. We can talk as humans without you shaking your finger in our faces and threating us with an asswhuppin' from your Divine Daddy.

is this your definition of Christianity or of Christians. "you'll get inebriated and performance premarital sex on the weekend and repent about it on sunday? " in case you imagine this defines Christianity then you're fairly incorrect. and how did you recognize that each and every one Christians have premarital sex on the weekend and repent about it on sunday Did you habit a weekend analyze on all Christians? yet another generalization that each and every one Christians watch porn and stuff. you're bearing faux witness and then you've the audacity to assert that "i have lived my life to the finest of my skill to adhere to Christ" . Bearing faux witness too does no longer outline Christianity. as a fashion to draw close why is Christianity the right faith you ought to first take your recommend that you supply others "I say they ought to not be doing that because it is going adversarial to the Bible" because what you're doing is likewise very unchristian. @ Khan do no longer communicate with out understanding something it makes you look undesirable. also in the adventure that your quran says to each and every his own faith then why do you push your faith on others? once you imagine that your faith is better keep in concepts it is your questioning that that's better for you at the same time as for some that's something that's valueless. also prepare me the position Jesus reported "i'm no longer God do no longer worship me" The Holy Spirit isn't a guy look up a dictionary to study the which technique of spirit. in accordance on your defective quran the Trinity incorporates 3 gods God, Jesus and Mary. The lie is that you're following that a moon god is the God.

One word - disagreement.
When you disagree, they call it bashing. When you know what you're talking about concerning their religion, and it disagrees with their view or translation, it's bashing.
Amazing.
