You cant let another person rule your life. Do what is best for you, what will make you happy in life. Dont sacrafice your happiness for your family if they are unwilling to accept who you are. Yes you do care deeply for your family but they need to understand that you deserve more out of life than an arranged marriage. Life is about making decisions make the one that is right for you, even if it is hard. You deserve the most out of life, make it a happy one.

I'd prioritize love. To find somebody you love and who respects you and can keep you happy is a rare find and I personally wouldn't let the guy get away from me.
From the sound of it, you wouldn't disappoint your mother, cause after what you describe, it sounds like she supports you, but it's rather outsiders/other people who have something against it.

You are in a tuf decision. Your family should respect you that you've found someone your happy to live your life with. but don't shut your family out completely in case things don't work out between you and your lover. just tell your family that you love him lots and he is the only thing that makes you happy and if they loved you they have to respect your feelings and let you make your own decision.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self seeking,it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
