I've read that it would be "too expensive" to accomplish this task. Yet, don't we pride ourselves as being a country of laws? I'm all for immigration but not for illegal entry; how can we tell a terrorist from a decent human being? Why hasn't the Federal Gov't taken care of this basic security issue before now? Why should individual border states have to spend tax dollars on a situation that affects all of the states?

Now there you go and apply common sense to an issue... shame on you... to answer the question though... the little socialist lib groups will spend more to try and keep them here. Oh... and get ready for the onslaught of mindless insults and being called a racist... those are the go to cards when common sense is in play... (although, it is late enough... perhaps most the libs are in bed dreaming of meeting Al Gore or Michael Moore or Bin Laddin)

This is a great question....Have you really thought the cost in deporting all illegals? The logistics alone would be a nightmare....Where would we find them? They don't have identities....What about due process? They have the right to this, a fair hearing, despite the fact they are illegal....Where do we start? Going house to house? Who will do this? Our border agents are already too busy, with border to attempt such a task....Should we start a new bureaucracy for this? What about the courts? Should we have a special court just to process the illegals? Where should they be located? What about the cost of transporting all those illegal, which are all over the country to go to court and eventual deportation....After they get prosecuted, can they appeal? Under the law, they can....In the mean time, where will we hold all these pending cases and the illegals? Image the cost and legal red tape? It boggles the mind....Not to mention, jobs these people are working in the shadows and under the table....Who will fill all these positions? It would create a crisis, like one you have never seen....Image if we lost 20 million workers in this country?

Bush feels the US is benefiting from:
*Having 20 million illegals to work the fields and help with the US economy
*Having a force in Iraq (close to the oil after all that is all Bush really cares about.)

It would be an enormous effort to deport the illegals, but it can be done. Start with the employers who hire them. Fine them heavily for each illegal they have. (Use that money to fund Operation Deportation.) Once the illegals get the idea they can no longer work for companies, they will go to Home Depot parking lots. Have Home Depot post signs stating it is illegal to loiter. Have Border Patrol/police monitor these hardware/construction stores parking lots for loiterers. Arrest them, run their status, if they are illegal deport them back to home country. Have them report to the local US consulate for a court hearing. (Establish a new dept for just this.) Considering we have consulates all around the world... it could work. Find them guilty for being in the country illegally, and fine them. At the same time ask if they want to become a legal citizen and have them start the process. That is just a rough draft of my idea.

The government owned Mexican oil company sells oil to Shell and other petroleum companies. The Mexican government doesn’t want our border guarded. Since we need oil, our(?) government doesn’t aggravate the Mexican government. Tyson foods as well as other big businesses employ cheap Mexican labor, they make political contributions and give jobs to friends and families of our elected officials.
The American people practice lazy citizenship by not learning about the candidates they vote for. They vote a party line because it is “My party”. Probably the party that Granpa chose. Many Americans never even vote. The solution is fairly simple. First, refuse to do business with Shell, Tyson and anyone else who employees illegals or supports invasion from Mexico. Second, find out about your representative and candidates for office. STOP LOOKING AT PARTY ALONE but you need to learn party lines of all the parties. In other words, everyone needs to stop practicing lazy citizenship. Learn and vote. All the information you need is on the internet on the individual candidates website. Don’t listen to CBS and Fox. Learn and vote.

Because that is logical. For some reason President Bush LOVES the illegals. The only thing I can figure out is....

Illegals buy a stolen Social Security Number. (How many government computers/hard drives have gone missing?) They use this number to get a job, therefore paying taxes. They can't get refunds or claim Social Security benefits...where do all of those taxes go... hmmmmm interesting.

I heard Ted Kennedy address a large group of illegal aliens demonstrating in the streets for their rights. It sounded more like a political rally. Ted yells out ,"are you with us" They yell,"yea". This is repeated three times. He sees them as potential voters. Most are uneducated high school drop outs and of course they will vote for the party with the most hand outs. If this amnesty bill passes you can kiss the Republican party good by. Our two party system is bad enough but a one party system would be horrible.

Good question, I think the first priority should be securing our borders. Americans are so sick of illegal immigration, we are not going to take it anymore. Please contact your congressman and senators and tell them you will not vote for anyone in favor of illegal immigration.

If we spend all that money on the war, and then all those millions on deporting immigrants, then how in the hell in the hootenanny are we going to ever go to Mars?

The real kicker is that we could resolve the criminal immigrant problem for virtually nothing.

JAIL employers who hire criminal immigrants. The criminals go home because there's no reason for them to be here. Problem solved.
