Abraham was chosen to be a Great Prophet of the Creator of the Universe.

Abraham had two sons who were both to be blessed with a Holy Covenant at separate times.

The Holy Covenant are promises from The Lord of Abraham in return for taking on the responsibility to "Make Allah/God known to the World" and establishing the “laws of God” on the Earth.

Ishmael - first son - ISLAM
Issac - second son - JUDAISM & Christianity

JUDAISM is the covenant through Isaac.
ISLAM is the covenant through Ishmael.

1-----After Abraham had lived ten years in the land of Canaan, Abram's wife Sarai took Hagar the Egyptian, her maid, and gave her to her husband Abram as HIS WIFE. -- GENESIS 16:3

2------So Hagar bore Abram a son; and Abram called the name of HIS SON, whom Hagar bore, ISHMAEL. - GENESIS 16:15

3 ------And his sons Isaac and Ishmael buried him in the cave of Machpelah, in the field of Ephron the son of Zohar the Hittite, which [is] before Mamre; -- Gen 25:09

4 ------ Now these [are] the generations of Ishmael, Abraham's son, whom Hagar the Egyptian, Sarah's handmaid, bare unto Abraham: --- Gen 25:12

5 ------- And these [are] the names of the sons of Ishmael, by their names, according to their generations: the firstborn of Ishmael, Nebajoth; and Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam ----- Gen 25:13

“And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a branch shall grow out his roots. And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge, and of the fear of the Lord.”--- Isaiah 11:1-2

According to Encyclopedia Biblica, we read: “Jesse is contracted from Ishmael”. (Cheyene , Encyclopedia Biblica under “names”)

Let the desert and its towns lift up their voice, the villages that Kedar inhabits; let the inhabitants of Sela sing for joy, let them shout from the tops of the mountains. 12 Let them give glory to the Lord, and declare his praise in the coastlands. --- (Isaiah 42:11).

Ishmael dwelt in the wilderness of “Paran”(Gen.21:21) He beget twelve sons one of whom was named “Kedar”. (Gen.25:13)

“Sing unto the Lord a new song , and his praise from the end of the earth…” (V.10)

“another tongue” (Isaiah 28:11)

Tradition has it that the lines of the Jews and Muslims descended from the sons of Abraham, Isaac and Ishmael.

In truth, Abraham is a mythological Jewish hero, there was no such person.

Most of them, yes, but not all. Islam is a religion, not a bloodline.

Just think... so much of the fighting that's going on nowadays between those of Islamic faith and those of Jewish faith is caused by the mistakes of Abraham, in thinking that it was laughable that his wife could give birth at her old age.

Because of this the bloodlines of his two sons were doomed to an eternity of strife.

Shhhhh, I don't think that Christians, Jews and Muslims want to recognize that Christianity and Islam are the bastard children of Judaism and are brothers.

Muslims = religion, not all are descendants.

The blessing seems to follow the 2nd son in the Bible.

Yes, Christianity, Judaism, and Islam all trace their beginning to Abraham.

The fundamentalists of each religion are the same; fearful, ignorant and violent people who worship a sadistic, brutally judgmental, and humanity-hating God.

Islamic terrorists and fundamentalist Christians are like twin brothers who think they are completely different and hate each other, but in truth they are exactly alike:

---------------------------------------------
Bin-Laden claims that God spoke to him and told him to attack America.

Bush claims that God spoke to him and told him to attack Iraq.

---------------------------------------------
Bush and Bin-laden both send others to do the killing (and to be killed).

---------------------------------------------
Christian fundamentalists believe Bush is God’s instrument and that he is doing God’s work.

Islamic fundamentalists believe Bin-Laden is God’s instrument and that he is doing God’s work.
---------------------------------------------

Christian and Islamic fundamentalists both believe (and have the historical pedigrees to prove) in conversion through genocide and see no inconsistency in murdering, raping, torturing, barbequing, and hacking-off body parts as a means to spread their spiritual messages of unconditional love and goodness.
---------------------------------------------

The conservative faithful of both religions are fearful and ignorant humanity-hating sociopaths. We might not know the true percentage of dangerous Muslims, but it probably the same as the percentage of dangerous Christians – and that is probably close to the percentage of Americans who are hard-core Bush supporters (25%). Things are going to get much uglier before they get better – if they get better.
