On the contraire, any religion must lead man to the state in which he is closest to whatever the concept of God is and harmony inbetween human. It will also explain, somehow the origin of the universe and the motives of human existance. All religions in a certain way are rigth and therefore one is the complement for another giving a wider perspective of whatever God is and how we can aproach to Him.
Also all religions are wrong, because of misunderstanding, corruption, fanatism, arrogance and/or lack of oppenness. And so all of the must be taken with certain criteria. Non of the Holly Books is the One Truth, no prophet could comunicate it all but a good part of it yes.
Yes, many has been mislead because of power, fortune fanatism, corruption, arrogance and so on but no religion is guilty of the people inside nor their mistakes.
Believe me it is much better believing in something than merely assuming we are part of a coincidential chemichal reaction. If you think "Oh my! He was present during the Big Bang and so on, wow He IS perfect then."
I can personally say that Christianity, partcularly Catholics, tell you what to do but Buddhism helps you find out how, both helped in some level by the Taoists, the Shamans, the Jews, the Pagans...and of course Science.
All of them merge into one end and all of them complete each others vision but your mind and spirit should be aware and prepared for each and any message it can be given, important lesson are to be learned so pay attention to the signs

I don't feel anyone is misled. Even Atheists believe in something, otherwise I don't think they'd be able to keep going when the world gets them down.
As someone said before me, different religions are just different paths. Some are longer and harder, others short and simple, but either way, the same basic goal is achieved - happiness. I mean, even Jehovas, going door to door and insulting people who aren't in their religion, kicking people out for simple mistakes, and not having birthday or Christmas parties... even they get happiness out of the way they practice and live.
I believe if it doesn't help you get the most out of your life in a way that's comfortable for you... well, maybe you need to try something else. it's the destination that's important, not the way you travel.

I am Christian, and according to that belief system the answer to your question is, yes. Those who follow other "non-Christian" religions are mistaken, they are mislead. The reason? Because they are!
The First of the Ten Commandments is, "Thou shalt have NO OTHER GOD before Me." That alone makes it pretty clear that those who believe in other gods are not correct. Jesus reaffirmed this when He was asked which was the "first" or greatest commandment and He replied, (Mark 12:28-29):
"And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all? And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord"
So, there again, we are told very directly that there is but ONE Lord. We cannot sit and "pick and choose" what parts of the Bible we believe in, it's not like an "A LA CARTE" menu. It's an all-or-nothing thing... so if we are told there is one God, then all other gods are false.
Whether or not OTHERS accept this or LIKE it, that's up to them to decide. We are simply here to "tell it like it is." Yours is the choice to believe it or not... and suffer the "consequences" of that choice.

Any belief system, not only religions, that corelates all, and sees the unity and cooperation of this world is on track. Any belief system that excludes by use of "right or wrong","good and evil" is highly deceived. There is only one Creator, who creates in a very diverse manner.

Psychological Placebo
All religions are a crutch for the weak or an easy answer to everything for those who don't won't to think.
Don't get me wrong. Religions of all kinds have helped a lot of people get through difficult times. But so do placebos.
Hey Joe: In answer to your question....I don't think science can be compared to religion. Paranormal belief systems do not encourage logic or reason so each system can, and is, manipulated to an individuals or groups needs. Scientific logic cannot be manipulated.

No...
The possibilities are endless when it comes to explaining the divine, the after life, etc.
Just some people tend to think they know everything their is to know about the divine and the after life, which is very egotistical and completely untrue.
Everyone will follow what resonates in their hearts...
and doing that does not make ANYONE mistaken.

I believe Jesus Christ is the only way to God.So I am a christian.Yes Jesus is the only way,I will not back down from my faith.
Satan has been around along time blinding the mind of many. But God open a better way.He gave us his Son Jesus to make a way.
Soon every eye shall behold Him.Every knee shall bow.I already do,that is the difference.<><

I think that most of the followers of most other religions are just nice folks who meet the universe on their own terms. There are exceptions to this, those who proselytize, those who kill in the name of their god, and those who actually cannot accept the idea that we may all be believing in a fairy tale. But that's a minority of the world's population (while it may be a majority of Americas...)
