I think you may mean dimples, which are indentations in the cheeks. This is caused by a simple dominant gene. There is speculation that it is actually the fact that some muscles in the face are shorter than normal that causes the differences in the underlying flesh.

A dimple? It is a natural indentation, unless there was trama to the area, then that would be a scar.

maybe your talking about pock marks? from people picking at their skin? or dimples.
