Face it, we don't have salvation on the brain every waking moment. Could our salvation rest on a single opportunity many years prior if we just didn't think about it after that? Our lives are not a continuous opportunity is what I'm saying.

We don't 'accept" Jesus ...that is not what the Bible teaches.

We come to a place of realizing what a horrible , pitiful miserable state we are in due to our sin, and then we repent and turn to God in total humiliation and plead for His mercy.....It is about God "accepting" us based on what Jesus did on the Cross.....not about us 'accepting' God.

Yes: it could. God said "My Spirit will not always dwell among man".

There will come a time that God's Spirit will not be found among man (the World) and it will be a time when even followers if not careful can and will fall away from Christ.

In like manner just as there is a time for each of us to die there is a time that the Holy Spirit will cease working on your lost condition.

Even Jesus said when you go into a town if they do not accept the Gospel, to leave them to their own destruction.

There could very well be a time that you will no longer want or be able to accept Christ because you will have been turned over to evil (Satan).

I also think people who have they idea that "hey I am young, I will have a good time then accept Christ when I get old" will have a big surprise waiting for them (and I don't mean that in a good way).

We are taught in the New Testament that we "can not" keep knowingly keep sinning and expect there to be forgivness.

Salvation is an on going process. It is not just a one time thing. Your salvation must be worked on daily. There is no "once saved always saved".

"As the Bible says, I am already saved (Rom. 8:24, Eph. 2:5–8), but I’m also being saved (1 Cor. 1:8, 2 Cor. 2:15, Phil. 2:12), and I have the hope that I will be saved (Rom. 5:9–10, 1 Cor. 3:12–15). Like the apostle Paul I am working out my salvation in fear and trembling (Phil. 2:12), with hopeful confidence in the promises of Christ (Rom. 5:2, 2 Tim. 2:11–13)."

God gives us opportunities through out our lives to accept him.

He does not base it solely on one experience because He wants nothing more then for you to accept Him as Lord and savior.

I honestly believe that no one dies with our making that decision first. If someone is lost and there is a chance that they will be saved at some point in their life, then I believe that God will spare their life til that point comes.

( Now this is not to say that as soon as you reicieve Christ He will decide to take you right then.)

If Peter has died after the first or second denile, he would have ben lost. But since there was rependance in his future he was spared.

Free will is one of our greatest gifts, it shows us how much God loves us, and how He gives us each day to know Him more!

God bless!!!

Sure it is. As long as you are alive, you have a chance to accept Jesus. You only think about salvation once every few years? What else can you think of that is better than eternity with Jesus?

When I see Jesus face to face, tell me what could be better?

As long as we have breath, we have an opportunity to turn to Christ. We are not guaranteed a tomorrow, though. Many wait too long, because they thought they'd grow old and have plenty of chances to make it "right" with the Lord. They were wrong. Don't you be wrong too.

As long as you are alive, you have a chance to accept Jesus. once you are dead its too late. No one is promised tomorrow. You could die today.
