It's perfectly normal to think you're not ready to date yet. Don't stress over it. However, if being intimidated by men is preventing you from making eye contact or talking to them, I would try and talk it out with someone as to why this is so. Being shy is one thing, staying away from men due to fear is another.

Yeah that's fine. Just one less thing to worry about. No relationship drama that so many have. If you ever feel ready, then that's when you do it. There is no law saying you have to date. Its a personal decision. I know a few people who actually rather stay single. But if you do find someone special, don't push him away =)

Listen to your heart. If you're not ready to start dating, don't. Don't complicate your life and someone else's, by dating prematurely. When or if the time comes for you to start dating, your heart will let you know. Don't let anyone make you feel bad about doing what you feel is right for you.

You never do something like date because others tell you to, you do it because you want to. I have been around a couple of people that haven't dated until they were in their late 20's and they are just fine. If you don't date it's not a big deal, but if you don't enjoy your life that is the crime.

Nineteen is still young, and you have your whole life ahead of you. If you are not ready to date yet, that is OK.
it is bad that you are intimated by men, however. This could hurt your future career as well as preventing you from marrying. You should make some male acquaintances so that you can see that we are just people like you are. We are not monsters.

I think the fact that you are not dating at 19 is awesome. Don't pressure yourself into doing anything you're not ready to do, the pressure might lead you to making decisions that you may regret later in life.

yes thats totally fine... never rush in to things like dating... you should take it slow and find the right guy. I am 20 and have been dating my b/f for 4 years but I am not ready AT ALL for marriage. I feel like a kid still. But dont worry.. your not alone.

Love happens when it happens. Just go out t the movies with some friends of the opposite sex. Don't ever feel pressured to do something you are uncomfortable with though :)

Do you ever want to get married? If so..you'll have to date. If not...then your fine living on your own but having a boyfriend is always fun : ).
