This after seeing the Christians respond to LadyEagle's request for prayer. It really moved my heart.

Personally I find that when i pray with other brothers and sisters regarding another that it is very effective.. It has a way of taking us out of our own focus on ourselves and whats going on in our lives to stand in prayer for another in the Lord.
The prayers of the two's and three's is very powerful. It actually has a way of giving God's will in the heavens a means to be accomplished on the earth.
This is our heritage and such a great blessing to us as believers. IT also gives the Lord a way to carry out His will on the earth as it is in the heavens. He probably was interceeding for this one and needed us ON the earth to come into agreement with Him for His purpose in this one to be done.

No... I wouldn't say best... We're at our best when we live what Jesus taught... When we pray and love our enemies for example.
Although prayer is one of the many good points of Christianity.

No, that's them at their worst, actually.
Getting each other to pray for some god to make an exception for someone based on some bizzarre idea that such a god would really act on people's behalf based on some kind of popularity poll is rather silly. It is also sad, because it gives people a false of accomplishing something something when it really is just taking away time which can be used for really helping the person.

People who are at their best when they are right with Jesus Christ, and that should be all the time. When we believe and have faith and confess our sins, when we are doing what the Lord God Almighty wants us to do.

when prayer is all we can do - this is one of our better moments, but I personally prefer the actions backed up by prayer.
