i hate it when he barks with a high pitch, how can i get him to lower his pitch?
he's not that young, he should bark lower pitched

I feel your pain, as my dog practically screams when he barks.
That's just his voice. I have noticed that in my dog's case, the scream barks get higher pitched as he gets more irritated or excited.
Try calming him down or distracting him with a ball or toy.
Good luck. I hope your neighbors are dog lovers.

Sorry...but a dogs bark is his bark. Some breeds have higher pitched barks (smaller dogs tend to have higher pitch barks, obviously). You're gonna have to learn to live with it.

That's his voice.. Could you change your voice just cause someone else didn't like the sound of it?? I have a girl who has a very high pitched bark, scares the heck out of you if you don't expect it.. I would love for her to bark differently but it's not going to happen, that's her bark...

Simple put a bark color on him/her and that should do the trick. I have 7 Walker Hounds and a bark coller comes in handy sometimes and keeps the neighbors quiet too!
